The Grand Duke Valeria (II)

Within the main hall of the Valeria Grand Duke's palace, Valeria sat on her luxurious and decorated throne chair, waiting, accompanied by twelve of the seventy-two demon commanders. This was a quite grand showing. It could be said that all of the most powerful rulers and demons in Valeria city were gathered here.

Such an extravagance showing could only be seen when greeting one of the other Nine Grand Dukes. Not even one of the seventy-two commanders was worthy of such a greeting.

Initially, Valeria wanted to meet with the so-called human Emperor alone, but the other twelve commanders wanted to see the man that defeated three of their comrades and repelled a small army of demons by himself.

Anyone, other than the Nine Grand Dukes, who had never witnessed such a grand and powerful team would tremble in fear upon seeing this lineup, the grand dukes along with her twelve powerful commanders.

However, upon his arrival, Longwei was still as relaxed and comfortable as ever as he was entering the main hall. He was accompanied by both Scarlet and Anastassia.

Not to mention Valeria, the other twelve Commanders were stunned to see Longwei since he was completely different from what they've imagined.

All of them assumed that someone that was able to take on and defeated three of the seventy-two commanders along with a small demon army by himself would look super strong and had an imposing momentum.

However, the human in front of them looked very young and more like a child. He looked quite simple and his body did not give off any powerful aura. In fact, he looked like a regular human mortal, not a powerful warrior or a mage.

If they didn't hear and knew about his strength beforehand, they wouldn't believe that this ordinary bland human in front of them was the so call the human emperor.

Valeria was also stunned but not for the same reason as the others. She was stunned because she felt a huge threat the moment that this human entered the main hall, him and the young girl with the red hair. Even though they weren't strong enough to even defeat her strongest commander, she still felt a sense of crisis from them which she found a little odd.

While Valeria was stunned and felt a little threatened by Longwei's presence, Loingwei and scarlet were also intimidated by Valeria's grandeur as their hearts shivered with a chilling sensation! An instinctive, primal fear appeared from the depths of their souls.

Especially Longwei, he had experienced even more waves and winds compared to Scarlet. However, although he was much more mature, the fear remained irrepressible deep within his heart. It was the first time that Longwei had met such an unfathomable person in this world. In the Archaic continent, he was like a giant and someone that everyone was afraid off and hailed as the strongest person within the continent. However, in front of that young lady, he was like an ant. Longwei knew that it was because of the difference of power. Right now this woman could stump him at any time if she wanted to.

He trusted that if he provoked this young lady in front of him, he would die without a grave. To make matter worst, Longwei couldn't even evaluate the strength of that young lady with his observation skill which means she was at least three ranks above him. Nonetheless, he still kept his calm and acted as though he was not intimidated by her presence and the others.

" You must be the human Emperor."

" Interesting!" Valeria's voice was cold yet it contained an overwhelming power within. It was as though her voice and words were imbued with some sort of powerful energy which made it impossible for one to neglect.

" It's just what the human called me. My name is Longwei and I thank her Majesty the Grand Duke Valeria for her hospitality." Longwei replied with respect. He felt as though he was being eyed by a poisonous snake when the young lady's gaze fell upon him. Even with his years of experienced from his past life, he was still very wary of that women.

" It seemed like the 72nd commander had told you about us." Valeria continued.

" Indeed." Longwei didn't dare to lie. So far that woman hasn't shown any trace of hostility or killing intent which means she didn't plan on killing him.

Furthermore, if she wanted to, she could have a send her huge army to topple the Archaic continent and there was nothing he could do about it with his present strength.

" Good, then it will save me the time of explaining everything to you. Human Emperor, do you know why I didn't send an army to level up your land and enslaved your people even after you have killed some of my people. Do you know why I prevented the other Grand Dukes from attacking your land and your people as well." Valeria asked in a cold tone.

" If this one may, I think her majesty the Grand Duke wanted to recruit this one." Longwei didn't dare to play fool as he quickly said what was in his mind, what he really thinks.

After knowing the temperament of the Grand Duke Valeria as well her main power, Longwei knew that there's no way she was afraid a new Saint Master like him. For her not to retaliate after killing her people, even if she didn't even care about them that much means that she wanted to recruit him after listening about the details of the battle.

According to Anastassia, the Nine Grand Dukes were like fire and water and were always in conflict. Even though they didn't directly fight against one other for power, they used their subordinates to represent them and show their dominance.

They retrained themselves from directly fighting against one another unless it was something very grave and could only be resolved through battle. They have a very important mission and a purpose which was to conquer the whole Sacred Mainland for the devil God. Not only them but the Giants, Elves, the Dwarves etc. They all have the same mission and wanted to conquer this mainland for an unknown reason.

" For a human, you seemed very straightforward. So, what is your answer." She said with a slight smile on her face. It was the first time she has ever smiled ever since he got there and Longwei found her smile to be very captivating, Not to mention she was also a world-class beauty.

" It's not like I had a choice to begin with." Answered Longwei helplessly.

" Hehehe, Indeed, You never had the choice. You were mine the moment the moment my people discovered that island."

It's true, Longwei didn't have a choice. Unless he didn't really care about the people living in the Archaic continent. As long these people are alive and Longwei still cares about them, he will be bound to the Grand Duke Valeria forever. Unless he becomes strong enough where Valeria couldn't threaten him anymore or he becomes strong enough to make her submit to him.

" Now, let me see if you are as powerful as I heard, Agon, you are up," Valeria said as shifted her gaze onto one of the twelve commanders.
