Kind Receptionists are Annoying! [C92]

Inside the armory, Shu Himo is looking attentively at the swords, as if trying to discover every single particular about them.

Looking at them, Shu Himo frowned, 'System, why are all the swords this plain and ordinary?'

[Why would that be a problem? As long as they are sharp it is fine.]

'System, you really don't get it… if someone offers you to take a free weapon from their armory, you must take the best one! Especially if they are weapons that need some condition for the use.' While nodding continuously to his own thought, Shu Himo did his best to teach the system the most important notions.

[Was that the reason the User took the scythe that time?]

'Obviously!'

Walking around in the armory, Shu Himo checked many sections, the axes, the spears, the whips…

After more than thirty minutes searching, he suddenly stopped in front of a weapon, not moving a single finger while having his own eyes sparkling in excitement.

In front of Shu Himo, there is an enormous two-handed greatsword, that extrudes fervor and fear to anyone who sees it. Its hilt is by itself forty centimeters long, completely colored in black. The part of the blade closer to the hilt is acting as a crossguard, being wide thirty centimeters, slowly getting thinner by getting closer to the tip, with a total length of two meters. The thickness of the blade is barely three centimeters in the middle, getting thinner until the borders, where it seems sharp enough to cut through the hardest metal. Lastly, the blade is colored in all the shades of blue, making it seem as if the greatsword took an ocean within itself.

Not wanting to wait a single moment further, Shu Himo immediately took the greatsword and attempted to swing it around, but he immediately met some difficulty, 'It's so hard to use!'

[That is obvious, seeing how the greatsword is about three times bigger than the User.]

'I will not give up!'

While the strength gained from the cultivation realm is enough to lift the greatsword easily, Shu Himo is now having a problem in the center of gravity, that gets continuously moved due to the size of the greatsword, giving him difficulty to retain his balance.

'System, what is the status of the greatsword?'

[Just a High-grade Earth Greatsword, no additional effects.]

'Is it upgradable?'

[Only upon having a high enough level as a blacksmith, by reforging it.]

'I see…' This made Shu Himo think, 'If I could become a great blacksmith I could create any weapon I want, no matter how cool they are!'

[The User means weird weapons instead.]

Ignoring the system, Shu Himo smiled and walked closer to the dummy, raising then the greatsword and slashing vertically toward the dummy.

*Fss*

With the sound of the dummy splitting, Shu Himo noticed that the sharpness of the greatsword is extremely good, and nodded happily.

[Is the User seriously intending to get that weapon?]

'It's fine, even if now I'm having some difficulties to use it, in the near time I plan to start studying most of the books present in the Academy since I now possess the rank S student seal giving me access to all the libraries. That may take months or even years, so after growing up in the meantime, the greatsword will naturally become easier to use.'

[The system is impressed, this is the first time the User gave a rational answer to one of the usual nonsense ideas the User have.]

Ignoring the regeneration of the dummy, Shu Himo walked toward the outside of the armory. A moment later, he finally reached outside and went to notify the receptionist of the weapon he chose.

"Hi again, this is the weapon I chose, a greatsword."

The receptionist, initially calm and about to accept the report of what Shu Himo got, once seen the greatsword stopped moving in shock, "Isn't that weapon a bit too big for you?"

Hearing the question, Shu Himo was immediately startled, is this the coming of a new kind receptionist? This is bad! Formulating immediately a plan, he then began his speech, "It is indeed too big at the moment, but I have already some plans for it that will overcome this problem with no difficulty! This means that there is no reason to not get it, as it can increase drastically my strength!"

[The User just said quite a lot of bullsh*t in that speech.]

'System, you really don't get it, that speech comprehended the three phases to convince someone: the first is to admit that they are right, the second is to say that I possess a solution, and the third is to say that it will benefit me!'

Meanwhile, hearing Shu Himo the receptionist is stunned, is there something wrong with this kid? "Are you really sure about it? Once you use your coupon you can't change idea anymore!"

[Seems that the speech failed.]

Ignoring the system, Shu Himo promptly nodded, "It is fine, I already know that and I believe to have the best solution for it."

Giving her the coupon and putting the greatsword in the storage, Shu Himo then said, "Thank you for all, goodbye!"

Walking quickly away, the only thing that passed through Shu Himo's head is how to resolve this problem… kind receptionists are really annoying!
