A new function? Seeing it, Shu Himo could not help but fall in thought, 'How is that every time I need something, a new function about it suddenly appear? System, are you doing it to take my BS points?!'
[The system is fair and just, seeing that the User was in need of help, how could the system not lend a hand?]
'That's not lending a hand, that's selling it!'
Shu Himo felt troubled, normally in the novels the systems give free cheats that can make anyone the strongest in the world… so why did he get such a shameless system?
Thinking about it, he could not help but sigh, 'Whatever... system, will this new function stop those two from betraying me?'
[Yes, the User will find out more by buying it.]
Pondering for a moment, Shu Himo looked toward the two men, "What was your role in the Remir Kingdom?"
Not daring to lie, they immediately answered, "Our role was to oversee things like ensuring that there aren't any revolts and controlling that all the guards are doing their job, neither lazying around or being corrupted."
"Your names?"
"Tao Chao"
"Du Kun"
Staring deeply at the two, Shu Himo was convinced, 'Since that was their role, it means that they aren't associated with bullying my kingdom… also having a couple Nascent Soul overseeing this place seems a good idea. Very well, I will buy that function!'
[Detracting 50 BS points…]
[Thanks for your patronage!]
[You now have 299 BS points!]
[Unlocking new function…]
[Unlocked new function: Contract. You can use it by focusing on one person and thinking 'Contract!'.]
[Contract: allow to create a quest and assign it to someone. Anything wrote in it is absolute.]
Reading what the new function was about Shu Himo was shocked, wasn't this just a quest creator?
Having to test it, he then stared Tao Chao, while thinking, 'Contract!'
Suddenly, in front of him appeared a new display:
[Contract: ??]
[Description ??]
[Contract Reward: ??]
[Contract Failure Penitence: ??]
[Send.]
[Once the User filled everything, press 'Send'. The system will calculate the Difficulty and display it to the User's target.]
'Send? Doesn't this create the risk of your existence being exposed?'
[The User is underestimating the system, there is no such risk.]
Even if doubtful about the reliability of what the system said, Shu Himo had no choice, so he filled everything and pressed 'send'.
Suddenly, in Tao Chao's view appeared a display:
[Contract: Work for the Shu Kingdom!]
[You dared to challenge Shu Himo. As a way to repent for your mistakes, you will work for the Shu Kingdom the rest of your life. Anything that can be counted as betraying the Shu Kingdom will result in the failure of the Contract.]
[Difficulty: C-]
[Contract Reward: You will not be killed by Shu Himo.]
[Contract Failure Penitence: Instant Death]
[Will you accept the contract? Y/N]
[Once accepted, you can read again the contract anytime by thinking 'Contract'.]
[Warning: Any attempt to reveal the existence of anything related to the contract will immediately kill you. No matter if the attempt is by talking, writing or something else, anything will be punished with instant death.]
Reading the display he was terrified, what was this?
Neither magic spells or skills can create such thing… was perhaps the child in front of him a god in disguise?
Looking toward Du Kun and seeing that his face was pale, he knew that he also had just looked at the contract, and they both turned to look toward Shu Himo, only to see him nonchalantly nodding.
Not having another choice, he accepted the contract, and then suddenly felt an unknown energy enter in the depts of his body, in a place where no one could reach. Less than a second later, he could not feel the energy anymore, but he believed that if he dared to disregard anything wrote in the contract, he would instantly die.
The sole thought of the unknown energy left his back covered in cold sweat, however, as the conditions weren't too harsh he felt that it wasn't too bad after all… all he needed to survive was to work for the Shu Kingdom all his life and never betray it.
The same thing happened to Du Kun, who swore to himself to never betray the Shu Kingdom. Even without the contract, who would dare to betray it when there was such a monster governing it?
Since their future was now bound with the Shu Kingdom, they looked toward Shu Himo worriedly, and Tao Chao quickly said, "The matter with the army… won't the Shu Kingdom be destroyed before we come back?"
Hearing their worries Shu Himo laughed, "I already destroyed that army, there is no way just 2000 Dantian Core Formation experts would be a problem!"
Both Tao Chao and Du Kun froze, the army was defeated? And did he really said JUST 2000? Exactly who did they try to fight a moment ago?
Feeling shivers going through their whole bodies, Du Kun quickly said, "May I know how should I address your majesty?"
Hearing the question, Shu Himo felt troubled, he didn't think about it!
Pondering for a moment he finally came up with a solution, as there was something that he always wanted to try, something that he had read in many novels, and thinking about it he lightly smiled, "Just call me Young Master!
"Let's go!" The five then began walking toward the royal palace, ignoring the stupified looks of the crowd that was shocked by seeing the two Nascent Soul experts submit to Shu Himo.
