The five ogres, with an enormous height of three meters and a fat belly, were holding an iron bat longer than 2 meters, yet it wasn't their appearance what traumatized Shu Himo. It was the fact that every attack he did against them appeared useless, as they resisted unbothered by them.
Entering the room, he heard the same three words of the last time;
"Kid…"
"Food…"
"Good…"
Hearing their words, he thought back at what happened the last time, 'Did they eat my dead body?' Shrugging the thought immediately, he didn't want to think about it a second more and became enraged toward them.
"How dare you make me think such horrible things!"
As if answering his shout, one of the ogres abruptly threw his iron bar toward him. Yet, glancing at the attack, Shu Himo was confused, 'What is that?'
Casually sidestepping toward his left, he only glanced at the iron bat which didn't stop until it crashed on a wall.
Hearing the sound of the iron bat crushing on the wall, Shu Himo felt ashamed, 'Was I really hit by that?'
At that moment, in front of him, an ogre lifted his iron bat and struck a vertical attack toward Shu Himo, yet to Shu Himo such an attack appeared a joke, and simply sidestepped it toward his right.
Easily dodging the attack made him gain more confidence in dealing with the ogres, yet at the same time a bit of shame, thinking back at the measly strength he once had.
"I guess this is the difference of having more fighting experience?" Mumbling to himself as he placed his left hand on the fat belly of the ogre, Shu Himo used a reverse stacked [Hopper_x4], sending it flying.
*Boom*
Crushing on the wall, the ogre was stunned for a moment, yet it calmly got up on his feet once again, appearing to not have suffered any damage, and looking toward Shu Himo in rage.
"No damage?" Stroking his chin, Shu Himo finally realized, "You ogres have some sort of physical defense skill? Having noticed this, normally I would just electroshock you with a lightning… but you guys killed me, so let me have some fun experimenting a couple things."
With a devilish grin, Shu Himo decided to test the resistance of the ogres, "Who knows how much you will last…"
Unlike the nonchalant attitude those ogres had the last time they met, in front of Shu Himo's devilish grin instead of the mere child they thought to fight, they felt looked at by a demon, and panicking began to attack seriously him.
One ogre jumped toward him and swung his iron bat horizontally, trying to hit Shu Himo on his torso. Seeing the ogre, Shu Himo nodded happily and grinned, "You will be the first then."
Using [Hopper] he jumped in the air, evading easily the swing from the iron bat, and then used another [Hopper], jumping on top of the ogre's head.
"Very well, first experiment... " Taking out a silver rod from the storage, he then stabbed with it the ogre's right eye.
"HUAAAA!" Feeling the excruciating pain of having his own eye stabbed, the ogre tried to grab Shu Himo with his hands, yet he did not notice that Shu Himo was already on the ground, looking curiously at his reaction.
"So their eyes are a weak point? Interesting…" Gazing at the other ogres which were swinging their iron bats at him, he did not beat an eyelid and simply used [Hopper], dashing backward, evading their attacks.
Taking out another silver rod, he then slightly tilted his head, "What should I test now… oh, right! Their mouth!"
Curiously looking toward the ogres, he noticed that to his dismay, they acted as if they knew what he aimed, and their mouths were closed tight, sealed from his attacks.
Shu Himo could not believe it, the last time they fought they were quite happy to bite him… how was it that now they were all alarmed, with their mouth sealed as if fearful of him? Weren't they just idiots the last time?
Not having another choice, he used a stacked [Hopper_x3], dashing toward the closest ogre, and kicked his forehead with his right leg, while kicking his jaw with his left leg.
Seeing that he managed to open slightly the mouth, he swiftly inserted the silver rod in the small opening, and used reversed [Hopper] on the rod, giving it a thrust to attack the ogre.
*Frshh*
As if meeting no resistance at all, the rod continued on its path, stabbing easily until reaching the brain of the ogre, killing it before it could scream.
Jumping back to the ground, Shu Himo smiled, it felt good to take revenge against them… yet, thinking of the word revenge he could not help but frown, reminiscing what happened to Aura Azusa.
Now in a bad mood, Shu Himo took out many silver rods and threw them everywhere in the room.
While they were not sharp enough to impale in the walls and the floor, their purpose did not require that, being in a not too big sized room.
Gazing once at the ogres, he raised his hand and chanted, "Lightning!"
From his hand, a small spark appeared, which quickly increased its size, until it charged forward taking the form of a lightning, yet due to the silver rods, it expanded covering the whole room.
The ogres, coming in contact with the lightning fried from within, until everything inside their bodies was charred, and fell on the floor devoid of life.
While he was taking back every silver rod he threw earlier, he heard the usual voice of the system.
[Congratulation! The User managed to win against the second floor! Soon revealing the staircase toward the third floor... if the User wants to persist ascending the tower, advance on the staircase and if instead, the User desires to stop, return to the entrance or say "I give up!"]
Hearing the voice of the system, Shu Himo frowned, "If the last time I tried this floor you had said that it was almost impossible to beat without magic I wouldn't have died!"
Knowing that the system would not reply to him while in the tower of despair, Shu Himo dejectedly shook his head and walked up the stairs.
