Walking in the 102nd floor, Shu Himo sighed, after all those floors even he began to feel tired. Shaking his head, he knew that after this floor he could finally go to sleep, so he focused once again, ready to fight whoever was his opponent.
*BOOM!*
Before he could search for it the monster fell from the ceiling, plummeting on the ground, shocking Shu Himo.
"Roaaarr!"
With its dominant roar seemingly able to destroy everything by itself, nearly making tremble the floor, the tremendous monster revealed himself.
Possessing a black color as dark as the night, yet also as luminous as the day, with its rectangular form and a circular lens proclaiming reverence, the opposing monster possessed the same size as a room, appearing able to crush everything!
In front of such a monster, Shu Himo stood still with his mouth agape, in disbelief, "Isn't that just an oversized video projector?!" He could not believe it, how could a video projector fight? However, thinking back at how he fought against cubes… he thought that it could fight.. somehow.
The video projector, as if it were defective, had the roaring sound in a loop, continuously repeating it.
"Roaaarr!"
In disbelief of what was happening, Shu Himo took out his scythe and walked toward it, planning to simply split it in half. This doesn't mean that he lowered his guard, who knew what the system planned for this floor.
A moment later, he was about to slash at it, yet before he could slash it he felt the ground slightly tremble, and having the bad feeling as if he were walking on a minefield, he reflexively jumped away.
*BOOM!*
As if a volcano were erupting, from the ground an explosion generated up to the ceiling, covering the entire video projector.
Standing barely outside the range of the explosion, Shu Himo broke in a cold sweat, "That was close!"
Just looking at the force of the explosion, he knew that he could not resist it at all, which made him frown, 'During the tutorial, one floor out of ten was extremely weird… but why do I feel like now every single floor is weird?'
In the last floor it was a bee that loved to make a Zaa sound, and now it was a crazy video projector which loved exploding! Just how weird were the monsters chosen by the system?
Shaking his head, he had to wait until the explosion subsided.
5 minutes later…
10 minutes later…
15 minutes later…
"OI! Why it's not stopping?" He could not believe it, why was the explosion unending?
As if it were a column of red fire, the blast never stopped, rising up to the ceiling.
*Plop*
Suddenly, Shu Himo heard a sound coming from not far from him, and puzzledly turned toward it, curious about what it was.
"Acid?!" In front of him, a small puddle was forming, which was corrupting everything around it. Every couple of seconds, a drop of acid fell in the puddle, increasing its volume.
Looking up to see from where the drops of acids were falling, Shu Himo noticed that the ceiling was collapsing! Both the impact of the explosion and the acid corrupting it from above were slowly creating a path for the acid to fall!
He could not believe it, the system wanted to kill him by melting? Never did he expect that the system was such a sadist!
Shaking his head, he knew that unless he had to find a solution quickly, or his only fate would be to slowly dissolve in acid.
Staring at the blast from the explosion, he pondered, what if he could destroy the video projector?
Taking a silver rod, he assumed the same pose as if he were trying to throw a javelin, and using all his force, threw the silver rod.
*Fiuu*
Reaching the absurd speed of over 500m/s, the silver rod seemed to vanish, as it created a path in the midst of flames.
*Tunn*
Crashing on the video projector, the silver rod immediately bent, unable to overcome its durability. It then began to melt, due to the heat from the blast.
Shu Himo frowned, "It's quite sturdy… but maybe it's only because this was the solid black area? Maybe if I try to throw the rod on the lens it will be enough?"
Having made a decision, he attempted to remember the exact place where the lens was, as he took out another silver rod. Taking once again the same position, he then threw the silver rod, using all of his strength.
*Fiuu*
*Trr*
Unlike the last time, the silver rod managed to lightly pierce the lens, proving that its durability was way lower. Yet, it still wasn't enough to deal significant damage.
*Boom*
As if angry for the attacks, the blast erupted once again, increasing its force.
Staring at the ceiling, Shu Himo frowned, In front of such impact the ceiling appeared near to collapse, just a couple seconds from its fall.
Knowing that there was no time to hesitate, he quickly took out his scythe, and threw it toward the lens, hoping that it will be enough to split in half. As the scythe was deemed indestructible by the system, he believed that even in the worst case it would be possible to take it back.
*Frr*
Rotating mid-air as it advanced toward the video projector, the scythe appeared able to sever anything, even the blast could only be split in half in front of it.
*Srrr*
As a stray noise resounded, the lens was abruptly split in half, as the scythe continued to advance, splitting in half the whole video projector.
"Roaa-"
Hearing the roar which got abruptly stopped, Shu Himo sighed in relief, as the blast from the explosion subsided.
However, looking toward the video projector he was dumbfounded, inside of it there was an enormous scorpion split in half!
It seems that the real source of the roar was the scorpion… "Wait, from when scorpions can roar?" He could not believe it, was there a single monster which did the right sound?
Suddenly, he heard the usual voice of the system.
[Congratulation! The User managed to complete the 102nd floor of the Monsterhouse - Tower of Despair!]
[Soon revealing the staircase toward the 103rd floor… if the User wants to persist ascending the tower, advance on the staircase and if instead, the User desires to stop, say, "I give up!".]
Hearing the voice from the system, he sighed in relief, he finally completed all the 101 required floors...
