Fight of Words [C162]

"We meet again, Runa."

Hearing Shu Himo's phrase, every Longevity realm expert was shocked, he knew that monster? Upon such revelation they sighed in relief, if they knew each other, she would not kill everyone...

"Hehe..." Her creepy laugh resounded in the battlefield, making the experts' hearts freeze, so she wasn't an ally?!

The time appeared to be in a standstill, as everyone awaited anxiously what such a tremendous figure would do.

*Tap*

*Tap*

Her steps resounded everywhere, as she finally entered in everyone's view. Her long, smooth silver hair fluttered due to the wind as she moved.

Every step she took appeared slow, yet, she moved way faster than any Longevity Realm could hope to run, and before anyone could react she was already at ten meters from Shu Himo, staring him with an amused smile, "To think it was really you who made that mess... interesting..."

"That mess?" Shu Himo raised his eyebrows in bewilderment, he never did any mess!

After noticing his strange expression appearing as if had just heard something absurd, Ifera Runa fell speechless.

How could he act as if he did nothing wrong?

"You... how could you not know to have alerted literally everyone?"

"Alerted everyone?" Frowning, Shu Himo contemplated for a moment... but he ultimately shook his head. He did not remember anything that could've alarmed anyone!

Sighing, Ifera Runa was about to explain, when her lips suddenly grew into a smug smile, as she turned to look toward the sky, "You are late... bird-man."

"Hmph! You mere demon, who are you calling bird-man?" Contrary to the words he used, his tone appeared pure and untainted, as if corruption was something unknown to it. A light shone from the sky, blinding the eyes of who was unworthy, as it unveiled the arrival of an angel, who slowly descended to the ground.

With white hair and a white suit, his perfect features made him resembled a deity who came down in the world. His gaze passed over the battlefield, and it stopped on top of a child.

Just by looking once at Ifera Runa he knew that she did not achieve a breakthrough, while the only person who was at the 1q-Starting Soul was him.

Staring at Shu Himo, the angel had a disbelieving gaze. Even after seeing it in person, he felt it hard to accept that someone had caused "World's Acceptance".

Lightly shaking his head to dispel his disbelief, the angel looked at Ifera Runa, "Demon, what is someone like you doing here?"

"Hehe... it seems like your undeveloped bird brain is not even able to get such a simple thing..."

"Hooh? It seems like you grew cocky, demon. Do you want to be dissolved into nothingness?"

"As if a mere bird-man would have such ability..."

Being in the middle of the two, Shu Himo awkwardly scratched his cheek with his finger. He did not know how to react, why were they acting like children?

Only after five minutes of insults, the angel sighed as he said, "Demon, shut up for a moment, now that 'World's Acceptance' happened, I can't let you, a mere demon, take him."

Turning to look Shu Himo, he continued, "My name is Melkyal, I am considered the strongest angel. You, who are the one chosen by the world... are you willing to become my disciple? I will give you a great cultivation technique and many resources to groom you into a powerful expert. With time, you may even be able to reach my level."

Ifera Runa, hearing how he invited Shu Himo could not help but laugh loudly, "Hahaha! As if he would accept a bird's invite!"

"Eh?" Melkyal slightly opened his mouth in shock, while Ifera Runa would seek any occasion to make fun of him, she would not say such a thing unless she was completely sure on it!

Staring at Melkyal, Shu Himo confidently replied, "I refuse! No one shall bind me, no one shall stop me, and no one shall have me. I will never become the disciple of anyone!"

[Didn't the User enter in the Academy?]

'Eh? System, how could you say that? It's completely different! In the academy I did not have any restriction at all! Were I to become a disciple of someone, such freedom would be lost...'

Shaking his head, he continued, 'You should already know my opinion about betrayals... to learn from a master and then not repaying the debt is not something I will ever do...'

He sighed, as his mood quickly grew frustrated, 'And anyway, the situation is different, why would I become the disciple of a random guy who can't help me at all? There is no way he can give me a cultivation technique stronger than yours! To not consider something like that, you disappoint me!'

[Eh? Why did the User get so upset?]

'I'm not upset!'

Hearing his refusal, Melkial froze, as if he had just heard some unbelievable joke.

'Becoming my disciple is something anyone in the world would plead for... but to think that he rejected me immediately! And why is his expression worsening continuously, as if he were looking at something disgusting?! Does he hate my proposal so much?!'

"Pff!" Ifera Runa laughed uncontrollably, holding her belly as tears came out from her eyes. "What are you so surprised of? I had even warned you before!"

Melkyal ignored her laugh and narrowed his eyes. 'Why is she acting like that? From her attitude it doesn't seem that he's from her side… What if he's with them? That would be a really big threat!'

A hint of killing intent grew in Melkial's eyes as he stared at Shu Himo. Someone who caused 'World's Acceptance' could not be left on the side of an enemy; he had to ascertain on which side he was and act accordingly!

While he was still contemplating on how to act about Shu Himo, from the sky, a *VRRR* sound erupted, making the hearts of the Longevity Realm experts leap in shock. They could not believe it, just how many monsters did Shu Himo want to summon?

A portal with a size as big as a mountain appeared, and a flying ship emerged from it.

From the flying ship, a voice resounded everywhere, "You see? It seems like they are having fun! The divination was absolutely correct!"
