Falling From the Sky [C163]

Looking up, everyone stared fixedly at the vessel that soared through the skies.

Apart from its enormous size, at first view it resembled a normal ship, possessing a hull in brown wood, yet, the sails were different, colored blue and placed at a weird angle, only at the back of the ship. The sails were shining, appearing to be absorbing the light from the sun.

Instead of the usual rudder, the ship possessed a moving propulsor which, other than creating a force capable of propelling the ship in the air, also set the course.

However, at that moment, the vessel stopped in place, floating in the air as if the concept of gravity did not exist.

Such an effect made Shu Himo's eyes lit up in curiosity and excitement, 'A flying ship that goes against the laws of physics… how does it work?'

From the deck, three figures appeared, staring down below. The three were a black-haired wolf-man, a brown-haired man, and a red-haired girl.

Suddenly, the voice of the black-haired wolf-man echoed. "What fortuitous encounter, there are both that crazy demon and that Mr. Perfect Angel!"

"Eh? But that child is the one that triggered 'World's Acceptance', how could it not be a fortuitous encounter?" The brown haired man answered in his defense.

"Ohh? If it's a fortuitous encounter, why don't you go first?" Smiling, the red haired girl retorted.

"Eh?" Before he could realize, he felt a kick coming from behind, and then found himself falling out of the ship. "You b*astards, I will remember this!" With tears in the eyes, he cursed at his comrades… how could they be so mean?

As the brown haired man fell, he heard a laugh echoing from inside the ship, "Today I will cook beefsteaks, who goes down will get two portions!"

Hearing such a good news, his lips curved into a smirk, "Haha! It seems like I will be the first who will get two portions today!" Just the thought of the dinner made him drool, that voice was from the bald man, one of the best cooks in the world!

"What?!" The wolf-man and the red-haired girl exclaimed at the same time, and with but a step both jumped down from the ship, "Double beefsteak portion, we will get it!"

At that moment, in their eyes existed only the incoming dinner, both the Demon King and the Angel were but a secondary problem!

'I could hear you!' Ifera Runa's and Melkial's eyebrows twitched, how could they entirely disregard them like that?!

The three of them crashed into the ground accompanied by a loud thud. Around the point of impact, the ground in a fifty-meter radius collapsed, forming a deep crater.

Standing up, the brown haired man cleaned his clothes from the dust, and lamented, "A fall of a kilometer... it always hurt a little."

"That's why you're supposed to prepare yourself before jumping." The wolf-man replied with a smug.

"Wha- it's was you both who pushed me before i could prepare!"

He sighed, knowing that there was nothing he could do to take revenge… at the moment.

"You three… who did you just call crazy demon?"

In front of her cold tone coupled with her creepy smile, the three felt a shiver going down their back.

Shallowing his feelings, the brown haired man replied heroically, "Wait, let me do a divination."

"A divination?" Ifera Runa did not know how react, what kind of answer was that?

Taking out a deck of cards, he shuffled it and clapped his hands, crushing the deck in the middle of his hands. At the same time, he thought, 'What would happen if we were to fight against her?'

*Vrr*

The crushed cards consumed themselves, as they produced a blue light which morphed into a word: 'Death.'

Widening his eyes, he thought to himself, 'Death? I knew it!' Looking toward Ifera Runa, he smirked, "The result of my divination said… that if we were to fight, the only result would be death!"

Ifera Runa raised her eyebrows, 'Death? I did not intend to fight them anyway but… if I were to fight them and that bird-man sneak attacked me it would be dangerous…'

Unbeknown to Ifera Runa and the brown haired man, both the wolf-man and the red haired girl paled, if his divination made such a result, wouldn't it mean that were they to fight, only death would await them?

Seeing that she fell in thought the two sighed in relief, while they had their ways to survive, they did not really want to fight her, especially after such a divination. At the very least, it appeared that the divination was useful to fool the enemies.

Shaking slightly his head, the wolf-man walked up to Shu Himo and presented himself, "Hello, I'm Yubei Kelos." He then pointed at the red haired girl, "She is Faithe Malkia, and lastly…" Pointing the brown haired man, he had a smug smile, "He is the broken foreteller, Hynvers Azharde."

'Hynvers Azharde?'—Shu Himo tilted his head—'Why does his name give me such a weird feeling?'

Snapping out of his thoughts, he smiled, "Hello, I'm Shu Himo."

Yubei Kelos smiled and said, "There are also others on the ship, we are the Winged Freaks... are you interested in becoming one of us?"
