Cooks [C171]

On the ship, before the explosion occurred.

After talking with Pyrus Ignait the five split up, whereas Pyrus Ignait prepared the ingredients for the banquet, Yubei Kelos went to change the flying ship's flying direction to go to the Shu Kingdom, and lastly, Shu Himo, Aura Azusa, and Phylia remained behind on the deck.

Several minutes later, Yubei Kelos was walking in a corridor, with worry written all over his face.

He felt a shiver going down his back, regretting going alone and leaving the others behind. "I hope he did not destroy anything…"

Shaking his head to not think about it, he opened the door to step on the deck… only to find himself in front of a seemingly harmless ball of fire.

"Wha-?"

*BOOM!*

Interrupting his scream, the ball of fire exploded. The fire expanded everywhere, covering the whole deck.

Dumbfounded by such a situation, Yubei Kelos reflexively raised his arm to defend from the explosion. While his reaction may appear useless at first glance, at second view it would be possible to see how the fire was failing to cause him any injury.

A moment later the explosion quieted down, and he stared silently at the culprits.

Feeling his stare, Shu Himo gave a hollow laugh. He did not expect that would happen.

Since they had to wait, they had decided to spar for a bit… however, mid-way in the fight Aura Azusa used the Solar Orb spell, and Shu Himo had realized only at that moment that he could not use formations due to the ship's deck sturdiness.

Aura Azusa's face was reddened in embarrassment, seeing that she 'accidentally' destroyed everything again. Meanwhile, Phylia was giggling looking at the mess the two created.

But all of a sudden, looking around themselves both Aura Azusa's and Shu Himo's eyes widened in shock. While at first view the ship appeared to be on fire, the actual damage the ship was receiving was inexistent and the fire was dying quickly.

What kind of wood was this?

Yubei Kelos let out a sigh. "What happened?" He had felt uneasy all the time, but he surely did not expect to be greeted by an explosion the moment he opened a door.

Scratching his head Shu Himo replied, "Since we had to wait, we decided to train a bit together… and that happened."

"Train together?" Yubei Kelos was speechless. Were they training to destroy the ship?

"There are special training rooms in the ship, I'll show them to you later." After he said that, he headed for the side of the ship, and looked down.

"We have already arrived at the Shu Kingdom…" Yubei Kelos's lips twitched continuously.

What kind of entrance did they just make? An explosive one?

Ignoring what was happening, Pyrus Ignait appeared behind them. "I'm ready, let's go." Without waiting for their reply he then directly jumped down.

Looking at his figure falling in the middle of the plaza, the other four also jumped down.

Crashing on the ground, the five depressed the area of tens of meters around them to nothingness. As a result, in the middle of the plaza there were five new craters.

Luckily they fell in a small area where no one was present, so there weren't any victims.

Shu Himo frowned, thinking that the next time it would be better to jump down outside of the city.

The commoners, the experts, and the Shu family were stunned. They did not expect to see people fall from the sky and destroy the plaza.

Not paying heed to the stupor of the others, Pyrus Ignait took out hundreds of tables and chairs from his storage ring and skillfully threw all of them in the plaza, giving everyone a seat. Among the tables and chairs, there were small ones for the Longevity Realm experts and enormous ones for the Met(s).

Speechless, Shu Himo wondered if the Met(s) could eat at all. Shaking his head, he sat on a chair and invited everyone else to also sit down. Aura Azusa and Phylia sat at his sides, while his family also sat close to the three, and they started to talk among themselves about what happened in the latest days.

Both the Longevity Realm experts and the Met(s) also sat on the chairs.

Meanwhile, Pyrus Ignait walked in front of a table and took out from his storage ring an enormous monster. Covered in yellow fur, the monster had only two long legs and three horns on its head. With a size bigger than that of a normal room, its meat would be enough to fill the belly of everyone in the plaza.

While it was already dead, its powerful body was enough to make everyone know its previous rank: it was a Rank 9 monster.

With strength on par with most Longevity Realm cultivators, Rank 9 monsters were deeply feared everywhere, as every single one of them would be able to easily destroy a Kingdom.

Although dead, its body alone produced a tremendous pressure on the plaza, forcing the commoners to walk away and only watch from afar.

Shu Himo blinked. It appeared that he got blessed with a meal different from pasta, finally.

Staring at the carcass, the experts felt bewildered.

"It's a Thrichorn!"

"One of the fastest monsters in the world…it is said that its speed is so high it appears to be teleporting, just how did he catch it?"

"You all are wondering about the wrong thing… if he brought out a Rank 9 monster… will he be able to cook it?"

The higher the rank of a monster, the higher the spiritual energy residing in it, making the ingredient extremely hard to cook. In the whole world, the cooks able to cook a monster of Rank 6 or higher who are known could be counted with one's own fingers.

Eating a Rank 9 monster may even boost their own cultivation levels.

It could be said that being in front of someone able to cook a Rank 9 monster was an honor by itself.

Without anyone noticing, a fat man stealthily sat on a chair, looking at Pyrus Ignait with sparkling eyes.
