Don't Come Crying to Me

Chris stood there utterly dazed from Velma's statement.

"Velma are you sure about your decision?" Chris asked.

"Yes and I hope you respect my decision," Velma said.

Chris started to laugh.

"How absurd. I suppose puppy love can really influence anyone. Well since this is what you want to do, I won't stop you. I bid you good luck. Mr. Woods, please do take care of Velma. There has been some weird things happening here," Chris said.

"Of course," Michael said. "Velma is a precious companion of mine and I'll put in everything to make sure that she is safe. Of course we'll be leaving soon so you do not have to worry about that,"

Chris smiled at Michael and left the cafe. He took a look at the quests to see if he had failed the Velma quest. Surprisingly, the mission was still up.

'I guess until I finish the main quest, this quest will always be up. Well since she's already left the gang, I already failed the quest. Even if she comes back to school, she'll probably be too infatuated with that Woods guy to even look at me,' Chris thought. He went back to his room where he found Shaggy, Scooby, and Fred lying on their beds.

"Where'd you go?" Fred asked.

"Just to the water park to talk to the security guards about the wave pool yesterday. It was strange though. The security guard yesterday suddenly left due being racked up with guilt. Then, I saw a strange man that went to the lazy river control room. When I followed him, he went inside the room and tried to mess with the controls. Of course, I stopped him in the nick of time or else there would've been a lot of trouble for Uncle Tom," Chris said. "This has to be targeting Uncle Tom. Otherwise, there's no point in trying to needlessly injure so many people,"

"So like you're telling me that someone has been trying to completely wreck my uncle's business that he spent all his fortune on?" Shaggy asked angrily. "Like no way I'm having that. Fred, Chris, Scoob, we're going to investigate everything right now and give that ghost a piece of our minds,"

"Reah let's-," Scooby said as he suddenly realized what Shaggy said. He then looked at Shaggy with surprised eyes.

"Woah there Shaggy, I think that's like the bravest I seen from you in years, but we can't just give the ghost a piece of our minds just yet. We need to call Velma and Daphne to research a bit more,"

"We could get Daphne, but Velma is not possible anymore," Chris said.

"What? What do you mean?" Fred asked.

"She decided to leave the gang to write a novel with Michael Woods. She did love books so I suppose this is something she wanted to do for a long time," Chris said as he sighed.

"Can we bring her back?" Fred asked. "I don't want to annoy her if she's absolutely sure that she wants to leave,"

"I think she's set," Chris said.

"Well, if that's the case, let her follow her dream. She loves books so I suppose writing one with someone that has experience is a good thing for her. We can't force her to stay," Fred said. "Besides she didn't say that she wants to break our friendship so we can always contact each other. I'm sure that Uncle Tom has a laptop so let's get one from him,"

Fred called Daphne and she came to the boys' room in around 30 seconds while breathing heavily.

"What do mean Velma left the gang?! Chris you have to have a proper explanation for this," Daphne said.

"Michael Woods asked her to write a book with him and she agreed. It's as simple as that," Chris said. "This is probably something she's been wanting to do for a long time,"

"And you're just letting her go? You've been in love with her for god knows how long and you're letting her go just like that. She's not just into Michael's books, but also into him as well. In about a month, she'll be talking about how they'll be in a relationship once she turns 18," Daphne said.

"Well what am I supposed to do about it?!" Chris shouted. "What?! You want me to go and say hey Velma I like you in that situation?! I can't alright! It's impossible! I lost my chance! I thought I had enough time, but it looks like I ran out,"

"Alright," Daphne said as she sighed. "It's your loss. Don't come to me crying when Velma is off marrying another guy because I will immediately push you away. So let's move on from this. I'll try to convince Velma otherwise. I'm sure she did it at the heat of the moment. What did you learn?"
