On the 15th day of 8th lunar month, the demon realm was in an uproar. 
Inside the chambers of an extravagant palace, pitiful screams of a woman could be heard. Many demons were awake on this night, from anticipation and excitement. 
Finally, the cries of a baby girl echoed throughout the palace, the first princess of the demon realm had finally been born. 
At this exact moment, all of heaven was in celebration. A cry was heard, and magnificent dragon flew into the sky, signaling all of heaven the crown prince of the heavens was born.  How will these two lives interlace?

Demoness Yan Liqin

Everyday, Yan Gouwei would visit his wife's courtyard for the next month, and everyday, he would be denied access. Because of this, the whole demon realm suffered the emperor's injustice. For a whole month, every demon had to work to the point that they would beg for death. However, the servants and guards of the imperial palace had it far worse. 


 The servants would have to work day and night to please the emperor. Nothing would be good enough for this unruly man, the first time the tea will be too cold, the second time the tea will be too hot, and on the one hundredth and thirty-sixth time, he wouldn't want tea anymore. Servants continuously poured in and out of his courtyard carrying trays of food, wine, tea, and treasures. Everything that would be sent in, would be sent out damaged beyond repair.


With this new found free time without his wife, the emperor took it upon himself to personally set up a training regiment for his guards. This new training style would forever be known in the demon realm as "the emperor wants to kill us all". Guards who went through this would rise greatly in strength. However, before doing so, these strong, and brave men who were selectively chosen for their strength to protect the demon realm, were degraded into pitiful children who cried for their mothers to come and save them. The wrath of a discarded husband is too great. 


However, these were not the only things that Yan Gouwei did throughout the month. He would continuously buy priceless artifacts and items for his daughter throughout the month and had them sent to her daily. This was to appease his wife, and to spoil his precious daughter that he can't see. 


On the day the month was over, Gouwei rushed to his wife's courtyard and was finally allowed access. He ran into her room and quickly apologized, "Wife, husband was wrong, I will never do that again, please don't let me suffer anymore without  you and little Yiqin!" 


Seeing that he was in such a sad state Yan Qingzhao hugged her aggrieved husband and smiled. After being forgiven, Gouwei went to his daughters side with apprehension and . Looking up at Gouwei, Yan Yiqin reached her hand out for him to hold. A huge smile bloomed upon his face as he held his daughter's hand. He promised to himself that he will do whatever it takes to keep this little daughter of his happy and safe for the rest of her life.
