Yan Liqin and Bai Bao had been walking through the forest for five hours and have yet to pass through to the mortal realm. Just as Liqin was about to take a break, darkness enveloped her and she passed out.
The red sun was blazing hot as Liqin awoke to Bai Bao licking her face. Looking over groggily to the little tiger, Liqin had a perplexed look on her face. Seeing the little tigers expression was just as confused as hers, Liqin scanned her surroundings. There were trees full of life and vitality surrounding them, a clear blue sky, and many birds flying up high. This scenery was completely different than the forest in the demon realm that was full of miasma and dead looking trees.
Liqin thought back to what her mother told her and concluded she must be in the mortal realm.
Instantly, the girls eyes lit up as she once again scanned her surroundings, but this time it was with eagerness and fervor.
Then suddenly, the girl turned her head to the little tiger and began pinching his cheek, "Xiao Bao, you should've woken me up earlier. Hmph, because of you, we wasted such valuable time being passed out when we could've been exploring the mortal realm."
This little tiger was truly being wronged, he had just woken up a minute before Liqin and had done his best to wake her. Bai Bao's face was full of grievances and just when he was about to explain himself Liqin said, "Whatever, I won't dwell on your mistakes when we could be productive. Let's go."
A beautiful girl followed by a white tiger could be seen walking around the forest for hours. It was clear neither knew where they were heading as they continued to walk in a large circle.
Finally, the girl noticed something, "Xiao Bao, didn't we pass this tree before?"
Looking at the tree, the little tiger was at a complete loss, he thought, 'Didn't we pass that tree a total of nine times throughout these three hours? Isn't it you who would be spacing out when I mentioned something being off?'
Of course, this tiger couldn't say that as he knew that he would once again be wronged if he mentioned something to the girl.
The little tiger decided to take the easy way out and just looked at the girl with a perplexed expression and saying, "Mistress, this tree does look a little familiar."
Liqin sighed and decided to eat before continuing on this arduous journey. She sat under the large tree and took out two mangoes from her interspatial ring along with a piece of raw beef. After throwing the piece of meat to Bai Bao who instantly devoured it, she ate her two mangoes.
Feeling satisfied and full of energy Liqin began walking once again, unbeknownst to her, there was a pair of eyes watching her the whole time.
