Master Zhi immediately pulled Zhi Yue into an empty hallway slapping her across the face turning her cheek a dark red color. "You idiot daughter have you no training on how to handle matters from over the years for that was handled with such disgrace and carelessness. You was outsmarted by an eighteen year old girl and five year old child have you no face for your actions!"


Zhi Yue kowtowed deeply placing her forehead on the stone cold ground. "My deepest apologies Master Zhi this daughter hasn't thought her plan though I have not foreseen the possibility of that woman holding a Heavenly tool and a capable disciple in her hands."


Master Zhi kicked Zhi Yue in her forehead causing blood to trickle down her face dripping onto the floor. "Now this Master must save face for your actions, I shall not go back on my promise to kill such a wife and child in order to gain that young man for he truly is capable but is blinded by her charms to notice the glorious blessing the Zhi family has to offer and has chosen to speak terribly against us. I shall change the way he holds his tongue and shine light upon his vision to make him accept you as a wife."


A soft voice traveled into their ears causing them to turn in the womans direction. Her black lashes fluttered while she smiled sweetly pulling her red lips over her white teeth. "Dear father must you gift such a daughter a wondrous treasure. What of your eldest daughter by your true wife must you pamper the daughter of a mistress with such presents and treat me only with the hand of a general's son?"


Master Zhi massaged his temples. "Zhi Xin I have gifted you the hand of the generals son because you have requested to marry a man of more power than Wu Lin. Now a man more capable then both men has come along and you wish to steal him from your sister?"


Zhi Xin raised her chin with elegance and ignorance as she flashed a vicious glare. "Steal from my sister. Dear father I simply wish to gain better things than my sister being that is what the first daughter deserves is to have a far better life than that of a leech."


Master Zhi sighed. "Dear daughters I shall have the son and wife killed however it is up to the two of you on who marries the gentleman or successfully courts him, that is all." Master Zhi immediately turned around and returned to the banquet to escort his departing guests.


Zhi Xin turned towards Zhi Yue and sneered viciously. "Dear leech of the Zhi family you shall forever be in my shadow as a failure to move ahead in life just like with your cultivation and beauty compared to that of me. I shall steal everything you wish to obtain for stealing the general's son, who you was in love with was just the beginning now watch me steal this capable man just to bear and son and take over the Zhi family just to destroy everything including him in the process!" Zhi Xin laughed maniacally as she disappeared down the hallway leaving Zhi Yue behind clutching her fist tightly while blood ran down her pale fingers.


Not to far away Quijie stood leaning behind a nearby pillar listening to their conversation with a sly grin. "Is that so, I wonder what the outcome of their plan would be if my master was to become aware of their intentions."
