Zhi Family Banquet (7)

Zhi Yue gulped slightly then smiled a nervous grin closing her eyes into trembling crescents. "Of course not Lady Da Lui I shall obtain this item for you."

Shi Rong smiled slightly then shifted back to her calm expression. "Excellent."

She turned her gaze back towards the bustling auction below as people began to sweat and lower their cards from the high price for the broken Ji.

"150 million yen going once…...twice…...SOLD!"

The same elegant man from before walked on stage retrieving the broken Ji bringing it upstair into the dimly lit room. He kowtowed presenting the damaged weapon to Shi Rong. "Madam."

Shi Rong picked up the damaged Ji. A spark of energy erupted in her fingers. The dragon on the blade glowed making its appearance clear to Shi Rong. She could make out its broken body only showing the bottom torso and legs but it howled loudly only in her ear alone. A light flashed across her eyes as a memory burned into her head.

Ling Yiyao walked across a field wielding a large Ji with a dragon engraved on the blade. He lightly clutched the dark brown sheath then turned around and smiled. Her eyes quickly flashed red then returned to normal as she smiled deeply and laughed sweetly. "HaHaHa, this is perfect!"

Zhi Yue smiled humbly. "I am honored you enjoy your winning." She quickly handed the engraved jade card to the servant. "Please have a bill sent to the Zhi Mansion for Master Zhi to pay.

"Yes my lady." The man kowtowed retrieving the card from her hand and retreated from the room.

Shi Rong immediately stood upon hearing the door close. "I must take my leave I have urgent matters to attend to."

"Lady Da Lui wait!" Zhi Yue stood from her chair and lunged forward extending her arm. "Don't you want to attend the rest of the auction?"

Shi Rong narrowed her eyes. "Why should I do that I only came because I heard about the eye of the water dragon yet you have given it to me as a gift I wanted to immediately left but felt that was too rude of me and now I have such a valued treasure. Why should I stay!"

Zhi Yue began to slightly panic. "Because…...because…"

Shi Rongs soft delicate voice soothed her panicking heart. "I want poster hung around the city and next city over by the end of the day, good day!"

She quickly opened the door retreating not looking back to see the nervous expression engraved on Zhi Yue's face as the door slowly closed behind her. She quickly made her way down the light brown stairs passing through a large red curtain hanging above the stairs walking out the back door to avoid being seen by the large crowd.
