Relentless Overlord General

He flailed around once more screaming at the top of his lungs until his voice cracked to a muffled wheezing sound.


He fell on the ground face forward as his body burned raising his head slightly to extend his hand towards a fleeting figure in the crowd. He called out towards the disappearing figure but he throat only produced a light wheezing sound. 


"Die already I have things to do." Shi Rong yawned as she slammed the naginata into the ground for the final time. His body exploded in a wall of flames.


The crackling fire completely drowned out his muffled wheezing until he finally surrendered to death.


She walked towards his black charred body and huffed. "Hpmh." 


The mental barrier lowered allowing for others to finally get closer to the horribly left bodies of Master Zhi and Zhi Yue.


"Let us be off." She turned on her heels ready to leave when a hand extended from the ground tightly gripping her arm.


"Stop right there. I have been hunting you for awhile now and I'm not leaving until I get what i came here for." His voice was calm yet stern sending chills down Shi Rongs body as her heart leapt in joy. 


She turned around to see the serious expression of Xia Lingxiao.


Hui Mian turned around to meet the young man's gaze then glanced at the young woman by her side and arched her eyebrows in surprise before she narrowed them once more. She walked towards Xia Lingxiao grabbing his arm.


Xia Lingxiao narrowed his eyes towards Hui Mian. "Stay out of this, this woman is of my concern and my high priority at the moment."


Shi Rong stared at Xia Lingxiao struggling to hold back her long awaiting feelings suppressing them into a simple sentence to appear like a complete stranger. "What business do you have with me sir."


Xia Lingxiao glared at the young woman before him seeing a complete flash of his sisters past image. 


Her medium black hair just barely touching her shoulder blades as her red dress clung to her body appearing to elevate her large round pillow like chest. Her usual cold gaze enlightened her beautiful face showcasing her lovely dark eyes. Xia Lingxiao blinked multiple times until the vision of his sister faded. He frowned slightly then scolded deeply showing his complete dissatisfaction.
