She opened her mouth in shock then tightly closed it slightly protruding her lips as she sharpened her pleading gaze.


Shi Rong turned her eyes in her direction sweeping her gaze up and down then turned away. "What makes you think I will help you, I have no obligation to assist you in any matter."


Hui Mian narrowed her eyes then sighed deeply turning towards Shi Rong. Her face twisted in disgust as she willingly tossed aside her pride to address Shi Rong. ".....Master…..Master Shen Cao is a good friend and an excellent comrade who is very immature for her age and has a lot of growth and learning to do but can you put all of that to the side to allow her to travel with us. You are looking to collect all twelve of us right?"


Xiandi chimed in before turning away disinterested causing Shen Cao's heart to quiver. "Hui Mian is right you can't just turn her away let her make a contract. We shall watch over her."


Shi Rong glanced at Shen Cao then at Xia Lingxiao. "Hmmm, very well form a contract with me if you wish to be with your friends if not I shall have you follow me another way later on in life."


Shen Cao gulped she looked down at her shaking hands balling them into fists then stared at her two precious friends before lifting her eyes to meet Shi Rongs calm confident gaze. "Fine."


Shi Rong nodded then formed the contract. When it was over Shen Cao stared at Shi Rong with extreme nervousness. "Now what?"


She turned on her heels facing away from the group. "Now I shall assign you to protect Xia Lingxiao, I shouldn't have to warn you what the consequences would be if any harm comes to his body, do I?"


Shen Cao trembled from the sudden intense feeling of terror hidden in Shi Rongs voice. A single tear rolled down her cheek as she stared at the many scars on her small milky white hands. "N..N..No!"


Shi Rong turned around revealing a sweet and lovely smile. "Good, Xia Lingxiao she shall be your new bodyguard when your dear sister isn't around!"


Xia Lingxiao extended his arms into the air as he lunged forward towards Shi Rong. "O dear sister your elder brother is humbled as my heart melts from your protective nature but dear older brother can take care of himself!"


He wrapped his arms around a warm soft body. He rubbed his face deep into the warm neck as long black hair draped over his face caressing his skin. "Rong'er big brother missed you dearly."


"Hush Rong'er allow big brother to enjoy our reunion."


Xia Lingxiao nuzzled himself deeper into the warm embrace.
