The New World

When the screams ended the world once again descended into silence, this time with only faint roars coming from the distance.

"Thank you!" Pan said embarrassed with a bow, 'And i thought he was scared when he was just looking out for me.'

'Your welcome, Hmph." Chaos thought giving a snort as acknowledgment.

Past the parking lot was a small forest that you would need to drive through to arrive at the zoo as it was built in an out of the way area.

Now Pan was staying close to Chaos as he had saved her life this time, and Chaos was keeping close tabs on her because she too saved his life.

The remnant aura's inside of parking lot are many, some strong others weak, and some ferocious while other calm, to Chaos who can feel the aura's of all of the creatures strong enough to leave one behind making the entire parking lot felt like a battlefield.

Corpses not matching the amount of blood in the parking lot were strewn around the area.

'The exit has a few crashed cars but theirs enough space to drive out if we're careful.' Thought Pan.

"Let's take my car out of here, it'll be faster, plus your still injured." Pan said aloud to Chaos who gave his consent.

'Even though the car will make a lot of noise my wounds are opening up again after so much exercise.'

Like this for the next few minutes Pan walked ahead with Chaos walking behind her, while she searched for her car with Chaos keeping look out for any dangers.

A few minutes later they found Pan's car, it being a family van, with ample room for Chaos who would not be able to fit comfortably in a smaller vehicle.

Inside the car it was clean, it having that new car smell, very nice.

'Then I'll be taking a seat then.' Chaos thought jumping into the front seat in a single bound.

"Now let's see here." Pan started fumbling around with the radio turning it on looking through the different stations for more information on the situation.

"If you can hear me, this is our stations last report, the building is under attack, but even so we will get this message out, the world as we know it has expanded to several times its previous size, the animals all over the world have become bigger, stronger and smarter, everything is evolving at an insane speed never seen before, the oceans are a dead zone, the ice caps are melting at astonishing speeds, the military is unresponsive, we believe they'e been destroyed, new creatures have been seen by satellites before going down they are presumed very dangerous...they've gotten in... i... mu...st...g..ob..ye." On one of the stations the same message kept playing over and over again on a repeating loop with the man giving out the warnings.

"So the world is really done for huh, it wasn't an isolated incident." Pan said breaking down into tears, her head on the wheel.

'You'll be ok.' Chaos pushed his head against hers upon seeing her so sad and broken up, licking her a few times to cheer her up.

"Stop it...Stop it!... Haha, least I've got you." Finally she broke from her sadness with enough licking and laughed hugging Chaos' head petting his back.

Driving out of the parking lot they were gone within the next minute, from where the car once was were now the same pair of golden eyes.

Destruction.

The world outside of the park is in ruins, the streets is cracked and caved by the overgrowth, insects are eating away at the blood and corpses still inside their cars.

Like this Pan traveled along the road for the rest of the day stopping only once night had arrived.

Inside the car with all of the windows up and doors locked Pan fell asleep, but Chaos went outside closing the door behind him.

For the entire day driving Chaos had been feeling restless, like something swimming inside of trying to escape.

Outside by now Chaos was at near peak condition with just a few scars left.

'This feeling of energy swimming inside me is becoming unbearable!' Chaos started moving towards the forest at the side of the road staying quiet and keeping low feeling around for weak aura to hunt.

Thirty minutes later he found it, it was a weak aura.

Following the trail sent Chaos farther and farther from the car and deeper into the forest, after who knows how long tracking finally Chaos arrived at a clearing, and just beyond the tree line, in the middle of the clearing there is a colony of ants, these ants are much larger than your average ones reaching over a meter in height and more than double that in length.

In the clearing their was a hole about three meters in radius with two ants guarding it.

Seeing this Chaos got real close to the ground and started prowling forward towards the closest of the two ants.

Once Chaos had gotten within three meters of the ant it's antennae twitched and it charged towards Chaos.

With a swift move Chaos got out of the way, and in the next second the energy within his body started to go berserk making his whole body heat up very fast with the energy converging towards his throat.

In the next second when the ant turned around to face Chaos a spray of fire shot towards the ant grilling it, the energy within Chaos calming down afterwords.

The second ant came charging after feeling the disturbance behind it, and seeing its partner grilled.

'Let's try that again!' Chaos thought while dodging the ants charges, mustering up his energy towards his throat.

After almost half an hour of continuous combat the ant was already tired and Chaos had finally managed to scrap together the last bit of energy spewing another shot of flames, burning the ant but not killing it, as such Chaos bit its already burnt and soft head killing it instantly.

'What the hell is this?!?' After biting into the ants head a sort of foreign energy invaded into Chaos' body ravaging it from the inside for a moment before being subdued and consumed by Chaos' own energy.

During that one moment it had already done minor damage to Chaos' insides, but his power also noticabley regenerated and became more tenacious after eating it, healing the injuries in a few seconds.

'I'll take the other one and leave then' Thinking so Chaos bit down on the other ants head eating it, the same as before a current of energy entered his body, this time being subdued faster than before, his energy having undergone a qualitative change going from a strand to two strands, doubling power.

With his meal done Chaos' ran back to the car, and not a moment after Chaos' had disappeared from their, hundreds of ants swarmed up and out of the hole, all of them being the same as the ones before with one being nearly three meters tall with a jade like exoskeleton and intelligent eyes.

It's antennae moved a twitch and the entire swarm spread out into the area looking for something.

Back at the car something incredible was happening.
