*Goal: "Become An Adventurer" has been completed*
"Yes it worked!", I had to yell out loud. I was so happy that I didn't need to do anything risky to become an adventurer and to complete my first goal. I was waiting for my reward like the ones I get for doing missions. Since Goals are supposed to take longer than missions my reward should be better right.
You see, I have an ability with a sole purpose of making me do stuff. It's called -Missions and Goals-(MAG) and it always keep me from being bored. I got this ability when I was actually dying mentally from boredom and passed out, but the reasons why are not important right now. When I was unconscious I started to see the light, the one people talk about when you come to near death experiences. I remember hearing the sounds around me slowly fade away. It's pretty depressing now that I think about it. I had the chance to die and it was taken away from me. MAG was the one who saved me from my end and gave me something to do in my life. He(I like to refer to Missions and Goals as a male)set my first goal in life, or really reestablished my goal to become an adventurer and embedded himself into my consciousness.
Incase you still don't understand, I'll explain. MAG will give me a goal and a few missions. Missions can be as easy as "hold your breath for 6 minutes" or hard as "find a friend". I can have three missions a day currently and was told by MAG that I can get more. Missions will be based off of thoughts that cross my mind. If I decide I don't want to do a mission I can abandon one each day. After I abandon one and I still don't want to do the mission, I will get an immense "headache", one I'd rather die than experience again.
Goals typically take longer to do and usually take lots of steps. Well I'm not
sure because I only completed one, I'm only basing this off by a message left by MAG. Goals would be something like "become an adventurer", sorry I don't have many examples. Now Missions and Goals both have rewards that relate to whatever the Mission or Goal was about. Example: Mission: "clean your mouth after eating" Reward: Napkin. MAG allows me to appraise my rewards. Reward: Napkin- a normal napkin. I always get bogus descriptions like that for some reason. If it is a physical reward then it will materialize out of thin air, probably an effect of manipulating cosmic energy. I'm not sure about Goals, but I'm guessing they have better rewards because they are har-
*You've unlocked a new option*
Wow! I didn't expect a new option so early. I mean wasn't I supposed to
do a lot of hard stuff first. Well whatever, I guess you can just say that I "broke the system".
*Missions and Goals now allow you to read a log of information about everything that happened to you and around you while trying to complete a mission/goal. Sorry meant to give you this at the start please forgive me-MAG*
Oh I get it! I basically get to read a third person mission/goal log that
includes everything I did relating to the mission/goal. Screw you MAG! If you gave me this option sooner I could have got something better, And no I don't forgive you. I hate reading and now I get homework as a new option, whatever I might as well cherish my first 'New Option'. I started to look through the log of the Goal: "Become an Adventurer"

*End of Log*
This New Option gets a 3 out of five stars. Why? Well I think it is pretty useful
in many ways. It points out things that I didn't notice and I can use those steps as a reference in case I forget. It tells me about my surroundings and the thoughts of those around me. It also gives people mentioned a small description like merchant or mother, instead of just calling them a random person. This new option was lacking because it only had a limited amount of information and there was a few things that I thought about that wasn't mentioned(minus two stars). It also says things like I cried when of course I didn't. Overall I think this is pretty good and useful, but..was I really receiving all those stares? I guess I should be more aware of my surroundings.
*New Mission: "Self Awareness" (includes special reward if completed properly)*
Hmmm? My mind sparked at the thought of a special reward. Maybe I should
do this quest now. I looked around and sure enough people were staring at me. Maybe they still recognize me because I haven't moved from this spot for a while. I started heading towards an area with less people, since there are always places like this in my town.
You maybe wondering about where I am right now. I live in a town called
Er governed by the Kingdom Vanadia making me a Vanadian of Er. Towns are ranked based on size and contribution to the kingdom. Tier would relate to the size of the town rank would be based on contribution. There are three Tiers and three Ranks for each Tier. As the rank increases usually the towns size would increase, and in order for a Tier 1 town to reach Tier 2 it has to have three times the size and contribution level than a Tier 1 Rank 3. The same goes for Tier 3.
A small town with little contribution would be known as a Tier 1 Rank 1 town or
village. While a huge city full of powerful adventurers, rich merchants, and successful farms would be a Tier 3 Rank 3 city or imperial city. As towns get closer to the center of the kingdom, they gradually become better. The higher the Tier and Rank the more benefits the Adventurer's Guild of that town gets(towns each have an Adventurer's Guild). The Town of Er is a Tier 1 Rank 3 town that is nowhere close to becoming a Tier 2. Okay that's enough explanations for today, if you want to learn about
something else you have to wait.
…
I walked to a less populated area of our town in the hopes of receiving less
stares and completing the mission. When I entered an area with less people the mission still wasn't completed. I used my analyzing skills and recognized that I didn't read the mission description. Stupid me.
*Mission: "Self Awareness"
To do:
X-Be aware of your surroundings
Complete:
-Be aware what your doing.
It says I still need to be aware of my surroundings. Maybe someone is here
watching me. I started to look around. No one. Maybe an animal was watching me. The mission still wasn't completed. It was last mission of the day all I needed was a little motivation. 'You can do this' I thought to myself. I continued walking around until I noticed something move. I stopped moving and listened carefully. Footsteps. A person that was probably a foot taller than me suddenly appeared into my view.
Cloaking.
Cloaking was a Low ranked stealth skill. It hid your presence for a short
amount of time. Since this skill is easy to learn it is used by thieves and bandits. Adventurers tend to use stronger versions of this skill. Sorry I said no more explanations today. I'm tired of it too.
...
The person who approached me had canceled their cloaking. It probably was
running low on time and that is why I noticed their movements and footsteps. I observed the person who I believe to be attacking me and who I believe to be a thief.
He had a knife in his left hand, a bag in his right, and a smug look on his face.
Definitely a thief, and a generic thief at that(minus the fact of him being tall). He was a low-level looking at the equipment he had and the skill that he used, and I could probably take him by myself. He gets a -3 on my Life Value Scale. What's that? I said no more explanations, aren't you glad I remembered this time.
…
I was unsure of why he would attack me. I had nothing. I was currently
wearing commoner's clothes. All I was carrying was my family artifact which was a nicely decorated sheath with a sword in it that I hadn't figured out how to remove. Are you wondering why I have it? I'll tell you when I have the time.
Even though I had recognized this person was watching me, something was
off. My mission didn't complete. Before I had a chance to think of a reason he spoke.
"I'll give you one chance," His voice was cold and his eyes were full of condescension, "Hand it over to me right now!"
"Hmm?", I decided to play dumb, "Whatever can you be talking about?"
Maybe my acting was bad cause he got real angry and shouted.
"Forget the plan, ATTACK!"
Confused by his words, I stared at him. I felt something enter my back. The
pain was bad, but nothing compared to the "headache". I looked around and saw that I was surrounded by previously cloaked thieves. No wonder my missio-

I was too busy getting beat up by the thieves around me to pay attention to
the mission completion. I was currently on the ground getting kicked and one of them was reaching towards the artifact laying on the ground since I dropped it. I mustered some strength to reach out and grab it first. Then I felt something enter my side. I was quite familiar with the knife and ignored it. I continued reaching to it and grasped the handle.
"Ha ha! He is still trusting to protect his sword," said Tall Dude(what I call the tall thief) while pulling it out of my hand.
"How about we kill him with what he was trying to protect!", this time the words came from Short Dude(a short and skinny thief).
Tall Dude grabbed the handle of the sword and tried to pull the sword out. I
smiled at his attempt. Tall Dude looked at me and saw me smiling. His face became more distorted and he kicked me while yelling. The kicks didn't hurt anymore, but I didn't have the strength to move. My body was losing more strength and my breathing was hard. I was thinking of a way to get out of this situation, but it was hard to when my vision was fading. My life was flashing before my eyes when-
