The past [Bill]

I looked around the halls. "Well, if we're gonna start somewhere," Scorpio opened one of the seemingly endless doors, "Might as well start here." The room was a decent size, around the same as the room Akumura and I slept in. "This," she walked in, and turned on a light, "Is where I used to live." I looked around. Her bed was certainly, a bed. It had black sheets, and was covered with clothes and stuffed animals. The walls were plastered with stereotypical teen band posters, Twenty One Pilots, Panic at the Disco, Fallout Boy, those kinds. I looked at Scorpio, "Well, this certainly is a room." She was bright red. "That's all you have to say?" I shrugged, "Well, I mean, it's the first proper bedroom I've seen in, six, seven years? I don't quite remember." She glared for a second, then her expression dropped into a more neutral looking one, "Well, let's move on."

I don't really know what I expected, but I was a little underwhelmed. Having lived in the streets for almost half of my life, I guess I expected more from the richest family in the city. "This is the last room I want to show you." She opened a door. It was dark, and there were no lights. She used the flashlight on her phone to illuminate the room. "This is where Pisces and I made the worst mistake of our lives." There was some feeling about the room. It was, off. I crouched and looked at the ground. Blood was splattered all over the place. There was the faintest smell of sulfur, gunpowder, and other uncommon materials. "What happened?" She crossed her arms and looked at me, "What do you think happened? This is where we tried bringing our mom back."

I stepped back. "This is that room? I mean, yeah, I sensed that there was something wrong with this, but this is where you-" She put her hand over my mouth, "Can you just, shut up. I've spent a lot of time here. Hell, when I wasn't doing some arbitrary task that my family out me up to, I was usually in here. It's become a calm place for me." She sat down in one of the corners of the room, and pressed down on the floor. A small hole opened next to her, and she pulled out a locket. "Come." She set her hand next to her. I walked over and sat down. She opened the locket and shined the light on it. There were four people standing there. A man that I recognized as her father, two little girls, one with black hair and the other with pink, and a woman who looked almost exactly like Scorpio, if it weren't for the fact that her hair was pink instead of black. "I'm pretty sure you already know what happened after we tried to bring her back." She wiped her eye. "I've grown used to dealing with this. I guarantee, if you were to lose one of your eyes, you'd have difficulty." I nodded. "So," She sat more upright and closed the locket, "What's your story?" I looked at her for a second, then pushed myself back. "Why?" She laughed a little, and scooted back next to me. "Because, you already know what happened with me. I've asked Jamie, and she doesn't really know what happened with you either. So, what is it?"

I sighed, and sat more upright, "Fine, but this does not leave this room, got it?" She nodded, "Sure." I sighed, and grabbed Scorpio's hand, "Promise. This does not leave. This room." She nodded, "I promise."

"Well, stereotypical as this sounds, it started at my birth. My mom was, for lack of a better word, a slut. Your common street whore who would do anything a guy told her to. One night, she met with a guy who got her pregnant. She usually just aborted the kids, because she wasn't down for that kind of life yet. This time, though, she decided to keep it. She named it William Cypher Walker. Right off the bat, I was shown to be somewhat, different. I was able to speak near perfect English by the time I was 3 months old. Aside from my above average intelligence though, nothing was out of the ordinary. When I was 9 though, something happened. She was met by someone who claimed to be my father. When all was said and done, she killed herself a week later." I sighed, and lowered my head, "Being just a kid, I didn't know what to do. I called over some family friends, and they decided to get legal custody of me. My family new family was nicer. There were two parents, and I had somewhat of a brother. He was older than me by 10 years, and only showed up on holidays. One night though, they were killed. No magical happenings, nothing paranormal, just a random drive-by by the then young Black Hoops. I was devastated this time. I wasn't even with them for two years when they were killed, but they treated me better than my mom ever had. So, I was stuck with no one else to go to. My 'brother' was at college across the country. It would be near impossible for him to get custody of me. So, I decided to live on the streets. There, I met a little girl who was in a similar situation to me. Her name was Jamie Elise Charleston. We grew close, and I had a new family." I wiped my eyes, "And that's lead me to here."

She looked at me. Tears were streaming down her face, as well as mine. I sighed, and stood up. "Well, let's try to do some good here." She looked puzzled. "Since I've shared my biggest secret with you in here, and this place has enough energy to supply breaking the seal. So, let's use this place." She nodded, and stood up as well. I opened the door. Scorpio walked out, and I followed.
