"I understand your concerns, Miss Malacent," Chasan started, "But we are still going to have the dance."
"Do you know who we're dealing with? Lucifer has easily killed millions! And you're expecting a student body and a barely trained army of Demons to stop him? Not only that, but all but a small handful of the students will even know about it." Chasan nodded solemnly. "I do know. I witnessed firsthand some of his atrocities. However, this is the best chance we have. We have four people with the abilities of the Old Ones. All we need is for them to realize their potential."
"Are you really expecting Bill and Jamie to figure all that our in only five months? I've been trying to for my whole life, and I haven't come close! The only one who can is Aleister, and he's had centuries to hone his abilities."
"Well, all three of you have shown some progress, in certain regards." He tapped on his desk, and it illuminated. "This is footage from the Black Hoop's raid. Tell me, what do you notice?"
Bill's eyes were glossed over, almost like he was dead. "Is it Bill?"
"Partially, but keep watching, I think you'll find the footage of you quite interesting." The fight continued on as usual. Until I just disappeared. "What the-"
"Precisely," Chasan tapped his desk again, and the light dissipated, "Both you and Mr. Walker showed signs of figuring out your abilities, even if you do not it yet."
"And still, you're hinging the fate of the Earth, possibly the Universe, on four students?"
"Four students, yes. But also a Demon who knows Lucifer better than anything else alive." I stepped back. "You didn't." Chasan's glance fell to the ground, "I am not proud of it. However, none of us can stop Lucifer together, let alone individually. If we want a fighting chance, we need Satan."
I slammed the door behind me. "How'd it go?" Scorpio asked. "Not well. I wasn't able to convince him, in fact, he somewhat convinced me." She sighed, "I was guessing so. Well then, I guess we better prepare." I nodded.
I sat on my bed, crossing my legs and making sure there was nothing to distract me. My eyes slowly opened. "Brit?" There was a bright light. "Dad?" My eyes adjusted. He was lying belly down on the ground, reaching toward me. "W-What happened?" He opened his mouth, but someone stepped on his back. "You must be the daughter I've heard so much about." A man stood in front of me. He had piercing blue eyes, and long, almost golden hair. He was wearing a white three-piece suit with blue highlights, and had a set of wings poking out the back. "You might know me. I mean, I know you. Brit." He smiled. It wasn't warm though. "I've heard about how you're planning on stopping my arrival, or at least slowing it. I'm going to let you know now, I will not allow that."
The entire city was burning. The streets, the buildings, everything. "What did you do?"
"What I should have done long ago." A glowing sword flew from the sky, and struck Oberon in the back. "You were always too close to us. Too alike. But, I gave you a chance. You all blew it! In the absence of the Angels, you've taken their place!" He dug the sword deeper, "And, now, I will ensure that nothing of the sort happens again."
He grabbed my by the throat, and lifted me. "Surely, I will have enough time to take you out before you return." I reached for my wand, but made sure to keep eye contact with the man. "Sectum-" He tightened his grip. I felt my breathing begin to shake. "Sec-" I struggled to talk, but had my want ready to strike. "Sectum," I used my other hand to try and loosen his grip, "Sectumsempra!" I fell to the ground, gasping for air. Blood pooled on the ground. "You insignificant little-" Another sword flew from the sky, but missed me by a centimeter. I raised my wand, and created a shield. "Oh, you think you're clever!?" A sword exactly like all the others formed in his hand, and he lunged at me. I moved out of the way, just to get cut in the arm. I lowered the shield, "You can't dodge forever!" He lunged toward me again, but this time, the sword passed through me. "Wha-" I waved at him, and disappeared from the scene.
"Brit!" I was drenched in sweat. "Are you alright?" My breathing was heavy, and I felt like I was about to collapse. "He's close. Closer than we thought." Pisces leaned toward me, "Who?"
"Who do you think? Lucifer is closer!" My vision started to fade. "Come on, stay awake!" Pisces caught me, but it was too late.
