An office worker was staring outside of his office window while his fingers were twirling a pen around. A sign of boredom.
"Hey, newbie you better get this paperwork done by today. Boss want to see it by this evening. Got that!"
A rather bossy lady pushed a huge load of paperwork at the new worker.
The man with an olive skin tone lightly smile at her as he was only met with a scornful gaze.
'I really miss San Fransisco.'
His previous work place was at Silicon Valley. Nothing beats working at Silicon Valley. The work environment there was a whole lot better compared to here.
More so when there was no such thing as seniors and juniors back in San Francisco. He was still not accustomed to the new culture here more so when he had only been one month living here.
While regretting about accepting the transfer offer, he had only himself to blame.
But what he could do, what done was done. He could only wait his next transfer chance another six months later.
Then every television screen within the office were showing the same news.
"Lee Hyejin reporting for GBS news, breaking news, an asteroid has crashed landed in the pacific ocean. Various nations had sent out their navy battalion with their motives unclear at the moment. Stay tune for further news."
The foreigner in this new land lightly smiled as he had his own thought regarding this matter.
'Unclear motive? Anyone can clearly see that these nations are trying to get their hands on that asteroid. They probably knew a lot more than the news could tell.'
And he was right...
In the vast pacific ocean, navy warships from nearby nations were making their way to the designated crash site.
Under satellite surveillance, most nations had a glimpse from above the sky.
"Captain Curry, we have sighted the crash site."
A navy soldier reporting to the captain of the warship.
"At ease, report!"
"On sight, ten kilometers of the crash site had no visible sea water seen. A deep gorge had been made with the presume asteroid at the center."
The captain couldn't believe it, he watched for himself as he saw a sink hole with sea water pouring down like a huge waterfall.
Within the perimeter of the sink hole, a few warships were present hinting not only their Great State of Murica had catched on to this asteroid landing but other major power on earth had been more faster in their response to the current event.
"Hmph the Qing and those Kievan Union trying to beat us over this rock from outer space. Let them see, that we G.S.M are not to be trifle with!"
BONG!
A loud boom echoed through the ocean as it coming directly from the center of the sink hole. The warships around the area shook madly as out of nowhere their systems are failing.
"Report!"
"Sir! The electrical components are all down! Possible EMP attack!"
"Impossible!"
But on this day anything was possible.
From within the depth of the sink hole, a loud roar akin to a dragon plus a tiger plus a lion plus an elephant and plus a crocodile bellowed in the air reaching close to a thousand kilometers.
ROAR!!!
Every personnel in the warships were falling on the floor as their ears started to bleed.
"What the hell was that?!"
The moment one of those personnel asked that question. A shadow emerged from within the deep as it towered over the warships as its height itself covered the whole sun.
"It can't be!"
Meanwhile back at the office, our olive skin office worker was walking down the stairs making his way to the cafeteria down at the ground floor.
The summer here are hot not like he expected. Even the people here didn't expect the hot weather to be this bad. He lined up at the cafe as he order an ice latte to go. Nothing beat ice latte during the summer.
Taking a seat at one of the empty seats. He took a seat in a laid back manner while sipping down the cold water. It invigorated him from the inside.
"Hello, may I sit here?" an office lady came from behind as she asked for permission.
He lightly nodded.
She sat across him with a smile on her face.
"So how's work? Blending in already?"
This office lady was also a new worker at this company, Stephanie Lee. She also came from the states but due to her Goryeo bloodline she was well more received by her colleagues compared to him, the man from nowhere. He was more suited being at Itaewon rather than here of all places.
"Are you kidding? That boss of mine is a douche."
"Haha, you better watch it Aran. Words travel fast around here." advised Stephanie.
"Good then, probably I will get a transfer letter more earlier than expected." joked Aran.
"Sheesh, stop joking around. You need to accompany me here just for a little while. We've only been here for like one month."
"FYI, we have never met before until the orientation. I got no obligation what so ever."
"Aww come on Aran, we're from the states right. G.S.M buddies stick together right? hehe" she giggled with a bright looking smile.
"Nope, not gonna fall for it again. So what now? You want me to tag along again with that seniors of yours? You know that I can't deal with drunk people right."
"Do it for a G.S.M buddy please." she pouted as she tried to emulate the famous 'cute' face of Goryeo. She probably watched too many clips of G-pop idols again.
As Stephanie tried to capture the heart of Aran with her displayed of cuteness overload, Aran was distracted by the running pedestrian outside of the company building.
"Run!"
"Help!"
"Call for the police!"
People are panicking running around like a mad man as if they were running away from something.
The company building was build by the side of the famous river of Goryeo, Han river. A major hot spot from family outing to a couple night walk. Yet something else was unravelling upon this chaotic scene.
"What's going on? Why are the running?" asked Stephanie as she stopped making her cute expression.
"Probably because of that" Aran pointed out to the thing outside of the window as immediately Stephanie screamed by the sight of it.
"Kya!!!"
