Chapter 4: Growing!

It has been quite a while, to be exact it has been one precarious year.

Bnan's mom, which we will call it only mom after this, gave birth to three cubs.

Two of the three cubs are females and the only male is our Bnan.

For a few days after they were born, their mom is overly cautious and secretive when caring for them.

She will immediately move them if the area becomes disturbed or threatened.

She always chooses an area that has a river to acts as the water supply and bathing area, a cave for the dwelling place and high density in the amount of prey.

The tigress is solely responsible for the protection and care of Bnan and his siblings for the first few months of their lives.

She left them for only short periods to drink and hunt.

Bnan met many dangers and life-threatening situations throughout these months.

For the first week, his siblings are especially hard to take care of as they are too naughty and adventurous.

"They are babies and do not have any real thoughts, yet. I need to try to hold them still when mom is out, haih" sighed Bnan.

As Bnan still cannot see them, hence for the first few weeks he cannot prevent them to venture from their home.

Only after he can see a little bit, then he tries to always protect them from dangers.

.

Bnan realized that he can communicate with their family and he understands them just like humans understand humans.

As he can understand when her mother talks to them, during their grooming time.

So, he always tried to persuade them but maybe because they are still babies and cannot understand him.

He avoided speaking with his mom though as he was afraid that she will become too shocked to see him speaking.

In the third week, Bnan started to see more clearly and can see completely in his sixth week.

His siblings started to understand speech and speak in the eight weeks.

Thus, Bnan also started to speak and communicate with his mother and siblings.

.

One day, her mom brought a big shadow.

The time has come, they need to had their first solid meal.

At first, Bnan felt a bit of hesitation as it is very weird for him to gorge a dead animal, although he cannot identify what was the identity of the animal.

As it was already become a lump of meat, lol.

He can suck the milk from his mom but to eat raw meat...he still feels quite perplex.

But after he took a bite, he started to fall in love and try to eat faster than his siblings. It tastes so good!

Maybe it is because he is a tiger and not a human anymore.

"It is mine and I'm not sharing!" mewled Bnan but failed to hold his ground as they can still eat the part that he cannot reach.

"And who said these are yours? It is mine and Kanha's!" said Bnan's eldest sister, Portu tries to take the lead.

"Err, err, err, can't we just share?" said Kanha meekly.

Both of them started to look at Kanha, and start to intimidate her.

Both of them said at the same time.

"It is mine, right?" said Bnan with a cold face.

"Kanha, what did you say?" said Portu seeming to put a smile that is not a smile.

Then, Kanha became scared and ran to her mother.

"Mom! Look at them! They're bullying me, huaa" shouted Kanha while running.

But the tigress just lied down and shut her eyes.

It seems that she was sleeping but she just want to see how her cute cubs will distribute the meat.

At the end of the day, Bnan just wanted to play around with them and started to share the meat.

His brain is those of humans, so he is not too obsessive competing with his siblings for food.

.

Both of his siblings have a light orange color with black stripe, the same as his mom.

Mom is very caring and loving but up till now, I do not know what is her name.

The tigress is overprotective too!

Meanwhile, Portu has short-tempered and very easy to flare up.

She always tries to exert dominant over her siblings especially Bnan but failed every single time.

Kanha is quite submissive, she does not try anything out of her limits but sometimes Bnan has cold sweat when Kanha becomes angry.

Maybe she hides her true strength and just does not want to hurt both of her beloved siblings.

While Bnan has a darker orange color with some red hue to them but it does not resemble his mother at all.

Maybe he gets it from his father's DNA.

.

The hunt is mostly done by his mom.

They are still a small cub, at most, they are about the size of a medium-sized dog.

Among his siblings, Portu is the eldest, followed by Bnan, and Kanha as the youngest cub.

But as Bnan is a male tiger, he eventually becomes the biggest and the strongest.

Bnan becomes the most dominant among the siblings.

A hierarchical order is a must and needs to be established among the tiger cubs, with the most dominant sibling eating and consuming most resources first.

Bnan exhibited his strength every so often to ensure his siblings listen to his order.

He just wants them to grow safe and sound.

He shares the food with his siblings but still consumes the most, why?

It is just because he is bigger.

People said the bigger tummy, comes with a bigger appetite, no?

.

For the rest of the following few months, Bnan lived quite peacefully.

He spent the majority of his time playing with his siblings and his mother in their home and surrounding area.

Playing with them helps Bnan to develop useful life skills such as stalking, pouncing, swatting, swimming and climbing.

Just the basic skills, as a matter of fact, Bnan already plan how to become the strongest tiger when he reaches his adulthood.

.

The tigress is always there for her cubs.

She always trying to instill the technique of hunting various kinds of prey by letting the trios watch she hunt them.

They will learn her technique and imitate her in later months.

Then, she may bring down an animal, but not kill it; allowing the cubs to finish the kill before eating it.

Bnan immediately catches the gist of how do tigers hunt.

It is a typical stalk and hunt, for a human, Bnan thinks it will not be a problem.
