It's Name, Is Kurama!
*Waugh, Waugh, Waugh!*
The crying of the new life echoed in the small shack.
"It's a baby girl! Honey, take a look."
A man in his twenties carried the baby over to a woman lying on the bed. He had blazing red hair and lapis lazuli eyes as beautiful as a gem. His figure was athletic and bulky, and he carried a katana at his waist. He wore plain clothes that were rather worn out.
She smiled while taking the baby into her arms.
"She is beautiful. She inherited both your hair and beautiful blue eyes."
The young woman was also in her twenties. She had pale white skin with a smooth round jawline and white hair that flowed down to her waist. Her white pupil-less eyes were large and doe-like in appearance.
He grinned and prepared a counter-attack.
"Not as beautiful as the face that she inherited from you."
She blushed and shied away, "Aw, you..."
The child they were currently talking about has short red hair, with her mother's smooth small face and chin. She inherited her mother's large slanted doe-like eyes, as well as her small button nose.
"Now then, enough with the flirting. What shall we name her?"
"How about… Rin?"
"Rin... Rin Katana. That's a good name, I like it!"
Rin lived like this, being loved and learning every day, just like every other baby would for two years. She continued to live with the same name she had in her past life.

Two years later...
*Fwuosh* (1)
*Crackle*
The fire roared and quickly spread, heading towards Rin's room.
The young Rin abruptly woke up.
Sitting straight up on her bed, her face contorted in tears and her body shook.
"Mommy, Daddy! Wuu!"
*Sniffle*
Her tears fell and stained her childish face, falling freely.
*Clash*
*Clang*
*Clang*
Her childish voice was shaking, "Mommy! Daddy!"
She climbed down from her toddler-sized bed, in search of her mother and father.
She unknowingly headed to where the source of the fire was, in their living room. She stood on her tiptoes and reached her hand out to touch the metal handle of the door.
Luckily for her at the time it was just below the temperature that could've hurt her.
She pushed the door open and felt the heat as she saw the fire covering the ceiling and walls. Smoke rushed into her room and engulfed it.
Her voice was shaky and her lungs filled with smoke, making it hard to speak.
*Cough, cough!*
"Mommy! Daddy!"
*Fwuosh*
*Crackle*
The fire engulfed the house even more fiercely, causing what was left of it to come crashing down.
*Crash*
The beams of the house fell down right in front of Rin, making her fall on her butt. She looked at the beam, stricken with fear, and backed up into her room. She felt scared, and her fragile young mind couldn't help but constantly focus on that fact.
Her voice was shaky, even as she thought to herself. Her body violently shook from fear and from her eyes fell a torrent of water, 'I'm scared. Mommy, daddy... I'm scared. Save me...'
The fire started spreading to the ceiling in her room and quickly started to engulf the room.
She crawled under her bed and cried silently.
Her short red hair started floating in the wind that fueled the fire, and each tear evaporated slowly as it fell from her face, almost as if it was comforting her from the extreme sadness and pain she was in. Her face contorted in anguish and pain, as well as from the extreme sadness she currently felt.
She violently coughed and called out one last time, "Mommy... Cough! Daddy, Save... Me..."
Her vision slowly blacked out and her senses no longer responded to her, eventually passing out...

An unknown amount of time later...
A child laid under all the rubble of the once home, still unconscious...
She had ashes and pieces of burnt wood lying on top of her, almost burying her.
She had tears fall from her cheeks while she was unconscious and she voiced out in a hoarse voice.
"Mommy... Daddy..."
The darkened clouds gathered and spread throughout the area, and lightning, thunder, and heavy rain poured down from the sky. Almost as if to mourn her loss...
*Rumble*
*Crackle*
She slowly awoke from all the noise that surrounded her, as well as the rain that fell on her face in torrents.
Her eyes slowly started opening.
She felt the cold water falling on her skin and heard the loud thunder booming in the distance.
*Boom!*
*Crackle*
*Roar!*
Her eyes snapped open at the roaring sound in the distance.
What she saw...
Was a colossal nine-tailed demon fox off in the distance, with short orange-red fur and large ears. The inside of the ears is inlaid with black, and the black from the ears went all the way to its red rage filled eyes. It had nine-tails sprouting from its back end. (2)
She, upon seeing this giant fox had recalled a distant and blurry memory.
"This nine-tailed demon fox..."
'Its name is Kurama!'
