The Scary Master Crow, part 2

"What is this?! How is this even possible?!" Shadow Two hadn't really believed Nick when he said the palace existed in a different time and space. But now that they appeared in the middle of the forest so close to Master Crow's layer he had no other choice but to believe it.

"Focus! We don't have time for stray thoughts right now!" Nick snapped while turning on the Shadow Radio technique at the same time. He wanted to make sure Shadow Two got the message across, word for word.

"Hmm." Shadow Two shook his head to get rid of those stray thoughts and began sending the message Nick gave him through Shadow Radio.

'Master Crow, I now have a powerful backer and I'm not afraid of you! Go and kill yourself you…' Shadow Two stopped here and shot Nick a look as if asking him if he really needed to say it, and after receiving a glare in response he continued, 'You gross bastard! Let me tell you something you probably didn't know. One time I needed to pee badly, but since all the bathrooms were taken, I pissed in your water canteen! And even though I dumped the pee out of the canteen, later on, you still used it to drink water before I could wash it! I have headed east with my new master, find me if you can, hehe!'

"Nick, get me the hell out of here now!" Shadow Two finished his speech and hurriedly turned to Nick.

Nick stood there shocked and stunned. He had told Shadow Two to add something that would infuriate Master Crow at the end of the message, but he didn't expect…that!

"You really peed in the man's canteen?!" Nick couldn't help but ask.

"It was a year ago, okay?! I was still young back then." Shadow Two clearly didn't believe his own excuse either as he blushed from shame.

Nick knew that this wasn't the best place to be so judgmental, so he said nothing more. He just grabbed Shadow Two by the shoulders and vanished into the palace.

"Haha, that was so refreshing!" Shadow Two jumped up and down in excitement. He had wanted to vent his frustrations out on Master Crow for a long, long time, but he couldn't do so because the man was a devil in human skin. But today he got to relieve some of his frustration.

"Now, what?" Shadow Two soon calmed down and asked.

"Now we wait for a little while," Nick replied as he used the outside viewing function to keep a close watch on the mountain.

"Hmm, some dark mist is rising from the top of the mountain and filling the sky," Nick mumbled to himself.

"What?! That must mean Master Crow is really angry! I have only seen him release that much dark mist once before, and that was when someone called him Master Rat by accident! Shadow One always said that whenever Crow gets this angry, the world is in for a lot of pain." Shadow Two looked a little scared. And his precious confidence was nowhere to be found.

"That's good. This means the man is angry, and will probably chase after you personally!" Nick looked on with anticipation.

Boom!

Suddenly from the top of the mountain the amount of dark mist being emitted intensified a hundred-fold and a shiny blood-red light flashed through the sky and rushed east.

Nick also turned on the Shadow Radio. Because he had learned something interesting. He learned that while others can't communicate with the outside world with any means. He, as the Emperor of this palace could! Which was why he could call on Silver the last time, while Shadow Two couldn't even talk to his fellow assassins once inside the palace!

And since Nick could access the outside world from within the palace. He could listen in to the conversations the other assassins will have or are having while tucked safely in his cute little Palace. But when Nick tuned in to the Radio, his head got flooded with all sorts of yells and comments.

'Has Shadow Two gone man?! How dare he talk to Master like that?! Shadow Two, if you are listening, just know I am coming for you, you bastard!' Shadow Three was furious.

'Shadow Two, are you being forced to say these things by someone? Just be honest and we will try to help you." Shadow One was still trying to help Shadow Two in this kind of situation.

'Shadow One, are you rebelling as well?!' Master Crow's voice overwhelmed the Shadow Radio all of a sudden as his voice trembled violently with rage.

'I wouldn't dare Master! I just think that Shadow Two wouldn't be courageous enough to defy you so openly like this unless he's being forced to. I mean, what advantage could he gain by making you angry? It would only serve to anger you and make you chase after him personally. And I don't think Shadow Two is brave or confident enough to evade you, so this means someone else is forcing him to say all those things.' Shadow One was trying his best to be the voice of reason.

'I also think someone is behind this. Otherwise, I would have been able to track that ingrate traitor down without a problem. But someone very strong is sheltering him and hiding him from me! And I don't care who it is, or how strong that person is, but they will find out why I am ranked in the top ten Assassins list! As for Shadow Two, no matter what excuse he might have for his behavior, I will not forgive him!' Master Crow wasn't going to forgive Shadow Two because he remembered that there was indeed a time where he wondered why his personal water canteen smelled like piss. But he just figured it was because the canteen was rusting and growing old, so he drank from it one last time before throwing it away.

"Hehe, now let the fun begin." Nick grinned with glee as he watched the dark red dot getting farther and farther until it finally disappeared from the sky. But the scariest part about that tiny red dot was the large cloud of dark mist following it!

--------------------------

"Giant Frost sect, are you sure you want to lose your lives just to keep a stupid woman safe?! Elder Frost, don't get your disciples killed by harboring a fugitive!" An Elder roared out. This elder was floating midair and behind him stood a crowd of twenty men and women, all surging with battle intent.

"Humph, Elder Grimm, do you even know what you are saying?! Why would we die at your hands? And this lady right here is under our protection and is a revered Alchemist to boot! Are you sure you can afford to fight against us?! I don't think your measly Fire and Water is qualified!" Another Elder who seemed to be from a different Sect roared back. And behind him a crowd of disciples from his sect which were a lot fewer stood, but they still looked just as fierce and ready to battle as their opponents. But among these people, a young girl who seemed to be the source of all this commotion was frowning and looked downcast.

"Young lady, do you really want all their blood on your hands?! Do you want these people to die protecting you?! You have to know that the people after you are the two immortals you offended by the Secret realm's gate. And the husband and wife have set a bounty on your head, which is just too appetizing to ignore. Even if you make it past us and escape, there will still be others who will come after you until you get caught and everyone who aids you is dead" Elder Grimm didn't want to kill and make an enemy out of the Giant Frost sect if he could help it.

"Don't listen to him, young lady, this bag of old bones will protect you since I have already promised to do so. You don't need to worry about other matters and just make sure your run later when the war breaks out!" Elder Frost spoke with an amiable smile.

"No, the pill I concocted for you is not worth your lives. Just take it and go, I have my ways to stay alive. But I am grateful that you tried to remain true to your word till the end." The young lady smiled and threw Elder Frost a small parasol. This young lady was Claire, who had gotten separated from Nick and the others when they entered the Secret realm.

"Hahaha, young lady, do you even know how precious the pill you have made for us is?! The pill you concocted is for our sect leader who has gotten poisoned and is on his deathbed, and if he dies, then our sect won't last long either! So, young lady, take this pill with you as you escape later, and make sure you leave this secret realm safely with it!"

"Just make sure to get it to the Sect leader in time. We won't ask much else for our lives. Disciples of Giant Frost sect, charge! Let's teach these bastards from the Flame and Water sect just how powerful we are!" Elder Frost smiled before he charged forth with speed and violence unbefitting his old age.

Elder Grimm signed deeply. It seems this war was inevitable.

Boom!

Elder Frost was the first person to launch an attack and his target was Elder Grimm, while his disciples clashed with Elder Grimm's disciples.

"Shadow Two, I will kill you!"

But before their attacks could land on each other, the two Elders heard a violent and shrill scream that tore the sky apart. Followed by a tiny red dot zooming by with a river's worth of dark mist following behind him. And the scariest thing about this scream was that it carried an offensive power which struck everyone there, from disciples to the Elders, heavily!

"Ahh!"

Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa!

Suddenly the disciple began holding their heads as they screamed in pain. And a few seconds later their heads would explode like a watermelon would when struck by a large hammer.

"Who are you?! Stop this at once!" Elder Frost roared at the red dot that was about to disappear from view.

"How dare you attack my students in front of me?! Are you looking to die?!" Elder Grimm looked angry as well.

Both Elders had stopped fighting and were now focused on their common enemy.
