The Huang Brothers (2)

We were so arrogant then because of our family. Yet, over one night we became the insubstantial Huang family. We fell from one of the most important exceptional family to nothing and that was when we learned that live was unfair and unpredictable.

The guards in the prison use all sort of torture device on my father until they brainwash him into signing the guilty form. Our father was the smartest man we knew but he had done something so stupid.

Later, we found out that they had tortured him until there was nothing left of him, so it was not so surprising then why he had done it. Thank goodness that our older sister got married but she never came out to help our family. We call upon her so much time but receive no reply. Oh, we were so, so naïve to think that she would help us, her own blood family.

Then we also found out that she too was having her own troubles in that household. Because she no longer had the fat thigh which is Huang family, her days were like hell. Her husband disdains her, their children and would not go out of his way to help her family. So, we had to turn from the Si family and ask our friends, but it was like hitting cotton.

Nothing came out of it and it almost got us caught. It was at this time we heard about our father's death and him signing the guilty form. A form that states that we were guilty and traitors of our country. Then came the news that many of our family members of the side branches were wiped out.

Leaving only the main branch to slowly die with the commoner and everyone thinking that we betray our country. After a month we had nowhere to go and no one to help us so we had to start living on the streets like beggars. We were on the street right where they beheaded our older brother. However, our brother did not go down willing. Before dying he yelled:

"The emperor is lying to you! We have serve the crown for so much years, why would we give that up. We the Huang family are not traitors, we will never be traitors but remember this… It was you emperor Cheng who throw us away, but we will wait for our revenge in the afterlife!"

He paused for a minute and smiled at us in the crowd of people yelling "Behead Him" and "Traitors should all die"

We stumbled when we saw that sad and angry small smile directed toward us as the guillotine blade fell. That was the first time in our lives that we cried, at first our face felt wet and that was when we realize that they were tears.
