I don't punish, I train

"Someone close to me once said "What is destiny? Is it a script by which we unconsciously play by? I don't know nor do I care about destiny that much, I will shatter every obstacle and create my own story, no one has the right to write a story for me except for myself." Take that sentence as a guide, stop blaming everything and everyone for every single thing that happens to you, you are your own ruler, if things aren't going the way you want them that just means you are too weak to lord over yourself, therefore grab every opportunity to grow strong enough." Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing things right, I mean for fucks sake I'm an 18 year old taking care of 15 year old girl, no one ever thought me what I should do or not do, who can I blame if I screw things up, answer is the same as always, I can only blame myself and trust myself enough not to screw things up.

"Wow big brother that was a whole lot of smart stuff going out of your mouth, what happened to you? Fever maybe?" Mia teased as usual, she is used to me playing around and hates me being serious, it's not like I blame her, she is still a child and she isn't prepared enough for this whole grown up bullshit, but never the less I must teach her gradually.

"Congratulations Mia, for the next pack of skeletons you are designated tank, keep spewing nonsense and you might turn out as permanent tank."

"Jesus, talk about being petty." She murmurs in complain but she might not know that because of my increased stats my senses are also increased so I can hear her perfectly fine.

"That makes it two groups of skeletons, any more complains?" Yeah, I'm definitely becoming slightly evil, does it matter though? Let's think about that later.

They started clearing up more skeletons along the road, they picked the left side and when I asked them why left they told me "Because you said if nothing is right go left, and your mind is nowhere near right." Below the belt girls…

I noticed skeletons have increased in strength so we should be nearing the boss of this cave so this route was probably the correct one, I might go check what's on the other side if they don't later.

Their combat basics definitely improved, but it's far from perfect, it's not like expect perfection from them from just couple of hours of hitting brainless piles of bones. I did kind of expect some more cooperation from them but it seems like this is still not challenging enough for them to actually forge their team spirit. Well I hope this boss in front does decent enough work, I'm confident enough in soloing this boss because it is supposedly even weaker than wolf queen I previously fought.

"Okay girls, I have good news and bad news, which one would you prefer first?"

"Which option would stop you from acting smart?"

"Okay girls, I have good news and two bad news, which one would you prefer first?"

"The good news." Replied Mia with a pout.

"The good news is this will soon be over."

"And the bad news are?" Asked Sasha.

"There are two boss fights in front of you now, but you can rest a bit before you engage them."

"But why did number of bosses increase all of a sudden?"

"Oh the number of bosses is the same, there is only one boss in front, and I just decided that that amount isn't enough of punish… Cough, cough, training for you so I decided to fight you after the boss, do notice that I will not spare you and neither will the boss in front of you."

"You just wanted to say punishment? So you do hold a grudge, how petty of you big brother."

"No, no, I meant training, never did I mention punishment." I awkwardly scratch my cheek as I mumble in response.

"Petty brother being petty again."

"Call me that one more time."

"What petty?" Asked Mia tauntingly.

"Good news girls, you don't have to fight boss in front, but there is bad news, once I'm finished with it you will fight me and I will send you to respawn point. It seems I forgot to teach you a crucial point, how not to court death." I said as I walked past them into what should be boss room.

"Good job Mia, you managed to make him go crazy, let's just hope he will chill out enough after killing that boss." Said Sasha as she followed behind me.

"It's not my fault that he's so petty, and I doubt he will kill me, I'm his little sister."

"You are a bunch of pixels in a damn game, think again." I shouted from the front and I swear I can hear her heart shattering.

"Good thing is before level 10 you won't lose EXP or levels if you die and have unlimited respawns." I added as I remembered about that detail.

"What about after level 10?" Asked Sasha.

"Well after level 10 you have to get certain item so you can resurrect, depending on which item you hold there is different penalty upon resurrection, don't worry about that now, if you manage to level up to 10 before start of next week I will gift you couple of resurrection points."

"Oh so getting those items is easy?"

"Easy? Of course not, but it's not that hard either, you just have to have certain knowledge."

"Oh you didn't mention what happens if we don't have resurrection item when we die?"

"Isn't it obvious?" I answered with a smirk as I summoned up my pet, this is actually first time I summoned him since I logged back into game.

"You mean…"

"Your character gets deleted." I continued her sentence.

"Such a cruel game." Sasha commented.

"It's not really, real life doesn't give you chance to resurrect, this game does, it's just a matter of your own ability and survivability.
