Meeting Mr Moonchild

Early in the morning Leona went out for her run. Not far from the block, she saw a familiar man age late 50s was looking at the flowers. Looking like he was in his deep thought. He has big stomach with a big frame. Wearing spectacles in his long white sleeves shirts. She knew him as one of the resident of her staying at the same company. Such a lonely old man.

Leona looked at him from behind with compassionate eyes. She slowly walked towards him and surprised him from the back.

"Good day Mr Moonchild! Heheheh." She patted his back lightly.

"Oh ho ho ho ho….It was you." He was actually expected to see her that morning.

"You by yourself?" Leona tried to see around if she could see anybody was with him.

"I am with you now, ho ho ho ho.." Said Mr Moonchild and pressed his big stomach and chuckled.

"Mr. Moonchild!" said Leona suddenly. "Thank you for recommended me to the company! I will work hard for the company." She almost made Mr Moonchild jumped to his feet.

"You deserved it child. Since I knew some people inside, they will happily to accept your resume." Said Mr Moonchild. Leona still bowing her head. Her shoulder shivering and tears rolled down to her cheeks after Mr Moonchild pulled her chin and shoulder straight.

"Thank you very much. I really appreciate it." She said after she could composed herself.

After they both sat on the bench and started their small talk, Mr Moonchild started to ask her.

"Do you know which department you are posted to?"

"Yes, it is the See Go Conquered department." She was joking around. She actually only knew that her new work place was not at the main company. The name itself already showed the distance of the location. She had no idea at all.

"Huh?!" Mr Moonchild tried grazing the name of the company she mentioned. None of the department was named liked she had mentioned.

"Hahahahah."

"Where is it?" Oh she got me! He said to himself and he only could laughed along. After then Leona explained everything to him.

"It is the genesis of the company. The core perhaps. I was shocked at first but then I decided to take the challenge. The worse scenario probably no internet access. Ha ha haha… " she couldn't help it but to chuckle.

"Today's generation, no internet access mean everything to us. That was what I have figured out the moment I received the offer letter. The rest I'm not sure."

"Won't you afraid?" He tried to test her.

"Afraid of what?"

"New environment perhaps, or something that is beyond of your control?"

Leona chuckled again and just laughed.

"I would be afraid when I needed to do so. But right now I am still here. Why should I think something that is not here yet?" She smiled and continued. " Now I shall enjoy my time here especially with you here chatting with me. I don't know when can we meet again."

"You make me feel bad." Said Mr Moonchild. He patted her shoulder gently like a father comforted a daughter.

"Am I?" Leona laughed. She also amazed with her mental attitude toward her new work place. They had a long chat that day at the park before headed to their home.
