We will take care of each other.

NEW PLACE NEW LIFE

It had been a week Leona was in the new place. Really far and she took five mediums of transportation to reach to her new site. Early in the morning at 2.00 am she had to ride on a car for four hours to catch for the first train in the morning. Then she had to take a train for 5 hours to get to the Country K. Then she had to take a bus to get to the town. When she reached the town, she had to take another trip by a car for an hour to go to the wharf. Then she had to ride a ferry before rode a small boat.

She was enjoying riding the boat. It was really a small boat. The journey took her one hour and the traveling was not ended until there.

She had another problem with accommodation. That place was literally a jungle! It was a huge camp site. The employees lived in the open camp. The camp could not afford to have her there as she was the only woman working with them. Late that noon a few middle aged men prepared her a place to stay. They got her an empty container not far from the camp. It would take a few minutes to walk there from their camp.

They cleared up the container which they used to put all their tools for their work. Then they cleaned up the container with water as some of the part of the floor covered with some mud. Some of the men prepared her a small bed with woods and planks. Leona herself tried to help but the men refused and at last she prepared them some drinks where they also prepared a place to cook with a small stove.

Before it was too dark, the container was ready for her with a bed! Outside of the container there was also a small hut with a table and benches with a small stove - a kitchen. There was also a small bathroom for her together with a toilet bowl. Everything was perfect! She even got the power from the camp so she had no problem with electricity power.

She was able to cook for them that very day. There were five of them. She called them- Uncle Bob,Uncle Matt, Uncle Blues (was not really his name but he preferred to call with that) Benedict and Don. They all been working there almost for 30 years. Except for Benedict and Don who just started few months earlier from her.

"Oh Leen, your cook is superb!" exclaimed Uncle Bob the funniest from the rest. He could not pronounce "Leona" so he called her "Leen." He gulped the mushroom soup in one go. Then he asked for another bowl. The men were laughing watching him delighted enjoying the soup.

Leona stood up and raised her soup and then saying. " I am so thankful for your help. Please teach me in the future. I will work hard with you all." She cheered and gulping all the soup.

All the men cheered and drank the soup as well.

"We all in the same platoon." said Uncle Matt as if they were in the war zone. "We will take care each other and help each other." Said Uncle Matt who was wearing the glasses.

"Yeah!!" said everyone. "We will!" They all said it together as if it was planned.

A little did she knew about the place after that night. According to them, the workers would go out once a month to go the town to get their needs. The logistic there was never changed from the beginning of the opening of the company. The staffs would need to travel into deep forest to find the finest and quality trees in the jungle. Sometimes they needed to encamp for few weeks to study the samples. Their basic salary was quite high here- could be to ensure them to stay and to work with limited resources.

There were only 12 staff in her department of Search and Revenue Department. There were other departments of the company- Timber Department (to cut the tree), Tree Nursery Department (planting new tree), Quality Control Department & Logistic, Sawmill Department, Carpentry Department, Design and Decor Department and many more until the last one marketing. They all were living there at the based camp.

Only Search and revenue Department, Timber Department and Tree Nursery Department in Country K. The rest of the departments were near to the Head Quarters.
