I'm Your Fiance

It was bright and Leona tried hard to open her eyes. She saw different place. She instantly knew she was in the hospital by looking at the cabinet and the bed she was in.

She could hear some men were talking outside of the room. She could not hear clearly but only heard like,

"I'm sorry boss. I'm sorry boss. I'm ready to be responsible."

But she could not hear the other man's voice. Then she closed her eyes and still under the sedatives.

After a two days in her sleeping, she regained her consciousness from her sleep. She tried to open her eyes again. The place once again different from the first time when she was half conscious opened her eyes.

"You're awake.." a husk and rich voice penetrated to her ears. She looked up to the face. He held her left hand and placed it to his cheek.

He was a stranger for her. She knew it was the first time she met the man before her. Absolutely! She was frowning and tried to recall the face. Still not able to recollect anything.

"How do you feel? Any better?" He kept talking as if they knew each other well.

"I'm sorry but I don't know you." she pulled her hand away from him.

When she made a move to further her body from him, a sharp pain suddenly attack her right shoulder. She groaning in pain and her left hand touched her shoulder. She laid to her back and landed to the pillow instantly.

"You almost lost your arm." He said it and he made her pillow as comfort as possible without being asking to do so.

She remembered her fight with the bear clearly.

"Look here Mister, I.. "

"I'm Adam ." He said after she called her mister.

"Adam ?" She paused for a while.

"No, I don't have any friend name Adam ." She tried to explained him and assured him that she is not someone he knew.

Adam : "Because I'm our fiance.." He said in his smile.

Leona: "Fiance? What are you talking about?"

She could feel her nerve was not longer able to compromise with the joke from that stranger. Totally a stranger!

Adam : "I will let you rest. I will come again later." He said and walked away from the room.

She just shook her head and still thinking it was a joke. She looked around and press the button for the assistant.

She thought the nurse, perhaps, would come and enter the room. However it was Adam .

Adam : "Yes, what do you need dear?"

Leona: "It's you again? You make me confuse."

Adam: "What do you need? I can help you." He really meant it. He said it carefully stood three meters away from Leona.

Leona: "I need to see the doctor or someone else."

Adam : "It's only me here, dear."

Leona looked at him in disbelieved. She still thinking that he was joking to her. She tried to get out from her bed and tried to walk but then suddenly Adam stopped her.

Adam: "Alright, I'll call the maid here." He hurriedly vanished from the room and then suddenly an old lady came into the room.

Leona: "A maid?" She still not able to digest what was happening around her.

"I'm the nanny here. Just call me Nanny." said the woman who was in her fifty.

Leona: "Where am I? Am I in the hospital?"

Nanny: "Miss, you are not in the hospital but you are under the care for the best doctor. You don't have to worry."

Leona: "Where is the doctor?"

Nanny: "They are not here at the moment as your condition is no longer in critical like past few days. They will come here soon. Lord Master already called the doctors."

Leona: "If I'm not at the hospital, then where am I exactly?"

Nanny: " You are in the house of our Lord Master."

Nanny just looked at her with emptied. It was quite some time the house was not being visited by people. She had forgotten how to feel living as the living being. She could not remember the last time, other than her in the house. She lives there alone as the caretaker of the mansion. She was there almost the entire of her life.

Leona: " Lord Master? Who's Lord master?? Why am I here?"

Who are these people?

Calling Lord Master as if they are living in the era of feudalism.

There were many questions but the answer were remaining unanswered.

Nanny: "You are here to receive a treatment for your injuries."

Leona: "Can you tell me the whole story to me right now?" She already impatient with the situation. She almost went crazy.

Nanny: "Perhaps I should ask our Lord Master to come in and explain everything to Miss Leona."

The nanny turned and walked out from the room.

Not long after that Adam walked in and stood not far from Leona. Never in his life felt this nervous. He breathed deeply and thinking the ways how to explain to her about everything.

Leona just looked at him and waiting for his explanation. Her wound opened and bleed massively. The bandaged had turned to red coloured. She just held her shoulder with her other hand. She was so angry until she didn't feel the pain.

The man looked at her bandage and his eyes looked terrified.

Adam: "You'll lose your blood if you move more." He tried to make her to lay down but Leona pushed his hands.

Leona: "Don't touch me!"

She looked at him with her fierce eyes. She never felt this way before. She was totally in furious. She was about to spit the bad words but suddenly her vision went blurred and then she collapsed.
