Chapter 8: Yao Zi

Uncle Shi dropped off Wang Zhu in a small room crowded with boys and girls, Wang Zhu was originally nervous but was given a talisman with Uncle Shi's insignia, "Wang Zhu, if any of the Elders or guards try to harm you just give show them this. That'll make them quake in their boots." His jolly voice and deep chuckle resounded in his mind.

After Wang Zhu got off Drek he decided that one day when establishing his power-base he's going to offer Uncle Shi a place at his side!

As Wang Zhu entered the room he went to a corner, trying not to draw any unwanted attention. The current him was too weak to provoke these people. There are already people that have cultivated to the Body Refining Realm in this room, which wasn't at all surprising!

Uncle Shi told him that he had to get to the 8th level of Qi refining realm to enter the inner courtyard which Wang Zhu found confusing. In the Ice Prince's formula it said that one strand of Qi should open one meridian, did they do things differently in the Sacred Beast Continent?

After discussing it with some fellow youths he found out an interesting truth, members of the Dark Water Sect were all given the task of repressing their cultivation until they refined eight strands of Qi before ranking up to the Body Refining Realm, even if they possessed one meridian.

Apparently if one was to do this it would mean that they would be able to refine their body even faster, and providing them a better foundation for their future!

This information stormed through Wang Zhu's brain igniting an idea which would forever impact his life. "What if I combine the two ideas. With the Ice Prince's Formula I can open and create more meridians, but if I add more than one strand of Ice Qi to each of them?! This shall be my goal!"

Wang Zhu was already planning and was extremely excited.

"The heavens perfect number is nine is it not? Well, I'll have a perfect set of perfect numbers, no matter what I'll create eighty-one meridians, and nine strands for each!" Wang Zhu grinned like a maniac.

"You there! What are you grinning about?" An older boy with a refined accent and a sharp brow said. He looked to be in his mid-teens and had an arrogant swagger about him.

Seeing this guy his stomach turned. He could tell he was at the 7th level of the Qi Refining Realm. Taking a quick gulp he didn't know what to do.

"Are you listening to me trash?! You haven't even started cultivating and you're already being this rebellious? Perhaps I should destroy your Dantian before you ever get the chance?" His words were firey and sharp.

"Look over there." Someone in the crowd whispered.

"Isn't that young master Yao Zi?"

"Yao Zi of the Yao Clan? Youngest brother of the famed Yao Du?"

"Precisely, Yao Du who entered Sky Shattering Academy!"

"What's Sky Shattering Academy?"

"Fool, you don't know what the Grand Academy is? Are you an idiot, or did your mother drop you as a babe?"

"Bring it, you beady-eyed braggart! I'm already at the Body Refining Realm!"

"Silence!" Yao Zi yelled trying to contain his fury. These people dare try to steal violet child's spotlight?!

Witnessing Yao Zi's fury was like weathering a storm on a boat, one could only cower at his might. Most of these people knew of the famous Yao clan. It was brought to prominence thousands of years ago before the four palaces even rose up!

The Yao clan was a legacy clan that could stand on equal footing with the four palaces! What's more is that they're an inter-continental clan! When their children are young they send them to different sects throughout the continents to ensure they'll never fall from power.

"Well, what say you fool? Do you dare challenge me?" Yao Zi's face was stern.

Wang Zhu wanted to say something but the words caught in his throat, his tongue refused to move and he felt like his bladder was overflowing. If the boy wasn't so pale his face would have turned ashen.

Suddenly Yao Zi's face which was full of fury started to melt and he started to crack up until he almost fell over laughing.

"You should see your face! It's going to make me wet myself!" Yao Zi fell against a wall as his eyes started to tear up from laughing so hard.

"Has he gone mad, why is he laughing?" One of the people in the crowd said.

"What do I care I'm not talking to you bug eyes." The other murmured in return so Yao Zi couldn't hear him.

Yao Zi managed to repress his laughter, as he picked up the small in comparison Wang Zhu.

Only now that he was standing next to him did Wang Zhu realize how small he was. He'd never been tall. He only stood around 5'4, slightly embarrassing compare to the boy in front of him who was at least 6'6.

Yao Zi had a big smile on his face and rubbed Wang Zhu's head. "Don't worry little fella. It's a Yao family rule not to bully the weak. You never know when a carp might jump over a waterfall."

"My name's Yao Zi, youngest scion, and possibly the most handsome man ever to grace the name, Yao."

Yao Zi turned to a girl many boys had been eyeing up, giving her a confident and charming smile, causing her to blush to turn away embarrassed. Yao Zi's smug face increase drastically.

He chuckled to himself scraping off some imaginary dust from his impeccable violet cloak.
