Childish

When we arrived at my hostel and it was already 11:45 PM when I entered my room. It was a long drive, especially with Ton driving at an extremely slow speed. He was taking Fern seriously. I smiled; it's nice to have a relationship with someone you knew for a long time. If he'd ever come to me for guidance, I will say that he should give her a chance. Ai was hugging Ao as they slept off. We never stay up past 10:30 irrespective of the other students on our floor. These nerds need to be wide awake for the classes or they'd feel hopeless.

A little later, I joined them. I was happy with all that has happened today. May knows and believes me this time. That was one big step in the right direction for me. Moreover, things were not strained for me anymore with Jessy and James at the end of the day. Also, Fern's confession was a mood lifter. With a reminder to call Kai the next day, I felt my eyes grow heavy as I went into a quiet slumber.

It has been a month since our meeting. I had talked to my brother and told him about my confession and how I didn't get an answer. He told me to be happy for now that at least it was not as bad as it has been in the past. Of course, I am totally satisfied. What's to rush anyway? May just doesn't look forward to having any relationship in the first place and i have a better chance at it than any other guy for one reason--- I know her and I am her best friend. Ai and Ao learned everything from me and now they stopped pushing me to get the courage to tell May what's needed once in a while. As for this shy girl who has interest in me, she is approaching me more but on the brighter note, my two guys are on my side ever since I told them that May only needs more time.

One aspect that kept me curious all through is whether or not Ton and Fern are together. He is staying in the same city as I am since the reunion. Last but not the least, I became apprehensive about James. Right now, I am at the library having to deal to listen to the lecture on something I have good grip on. The rest of my trio however, can't skip classes. I read another book, something that interested me out of nowhere. It wasn't a course topic. After reading another two such intriguing arts of science, I decided to take a break. I took my phone out. I should call by brother and let him know I'd be home for a week. My attendance is drowning no doubt but I am not in the red region yet. How good would it be if we got attendance compensation for our good grades? I sigh out as I scroll down for his contact.

"I thought you forgot me," was the first thing he said. When was the last time he called?

"You called four days ago, brother. . ."

"That's the whole point. I called. You see, I called. You don't." He's not in a proper condition. My brother is nowhere near childish.

"Where's Hana?"

"Went on a training trip," he sulked. Though I am not always around them, I saw how their love budded and bloomed more clearly with my frequent visits. I'm happy for them.

"No one calls me," he added.

"I'll be home tomorrow afternoon."

"Okay."

"Kai, you're not as cool and matured. I hope she gets home early. Bye," I breather in on go and cut the call. I don't talk whatever comes out with him. Not until now. But can't a little brother use an opportunity to tease his serious elder one? This is the first time so I had to cut the call soon to save myself from his possibly not so good reaction.
