"The war came so suddenly that we didn't have enough time to prepare, so we decided to split into various teams. I was the leader of the rescue team, along with the wind spirit. We were six in number, and our goal was to rescue the goddess. In our haste, we did not notice that one of the guardians were missing. But the time we got to the demon territory, the barriers had completely fallen. When everything seemed like it couldn't get any worse, it was too late. The forces sent to the human and elven territory was just a diversion. The main forces were left at the demon territory to prevent us from ever reaching the goddess on time, and their plan worked. By the time the other teams had realized the diversion, it was too late. We fought the entire demon army, but they overpowered us, and because of that, the previous wind spirit sacrificed her self by using a forbidden spell, but that wasn't still enough because by the time we got to the demon kings chamber, what awaited us was the brutally battered and broken body of the goddess. She had been defiled and almost killed. The fire spirit which came in later and saw the entire scene burnt both the demon king and his castle to ashes leaving none alive. We brought the goddess back to the temple, but we all knew that she wouldn't last much longer. Just as we were thinking about how to send her off peacefully, she suddenly asked for her best friend, and that was when the realization struck. The mole, the traitor, was the goddess's best friend. The only person close enough to her with the ability to poison her to the extent of not being able to use her powers was her best friend. We would have killed her, but the goddess begged us not to. With her dying breath, she freed us from the life contract we had and freed the rest of the guardians also except her best friend because; "such evil cannot be left alone in this world" she said. after her death, I began to hate humans

and due to the trauma, the other guardians went out into the world to help keep the peace she was fighting for."

After Astraea finished, she didn't hear any response from Luciel except form her soft sobbing.

"Why are you crying?" she asked, surprised by Luciel's reaction.

"Why did her own best friend betray her like that?! How could she be so cruel after all that she did for her?"

"Isn't that what you humans do? Stab your friends in the back?"Astraea said with a scoff.

"Whoever told you that? Yes, there are humans like that, but not all humans are the same. And I will prove it to you even if it costs me my life. I'll help you see the good in humans!" Luciel said, full of determination.

"Anyway, its none of my concern what you do. But don't die too early. Good night."

After Astraea left her alone, Luciel began to think of what next to do.

"We were supposed to meet with those people. I wonder how everyone is doing."
