I Thought You Would Come Back

"Ying Yue! Wait"

"No, leave me alone!"

Ying Yue was currently running away from Feng Yu, who happened to be waiting for her at Mian Enterprises' lobby downstairs. They have been at this for a while now, Feng Yu telling her stop while Ying Yue ran away.

It just happened to be the moment Feng Mian took a break from the papers and looked out the window. Instantly she stood up, not caring if she knocked the things on her desk down. Walking over to her window, she threw it open.

"Ah, you, that bastard chasing my best friend, stop right there. How dare you show up once more. Stop trying to ruin her life. You bastard just because I didn't beat up 5 years ago doesn't mean you can do whatever you please", Feng Mian yelled loudly at the people running across the street from her company. However, she was too far up so no one but her assistant outside her office heard her.

Although, Ying Yue didn't hear her she sensed a gaze looking at her from above. Looking up she saw Feng Mian yelling while pointing at Feng Yu. She laughed out loud, however, that caused her to trip and fall forward. Closing her eyes she braced herself for the pain.

However, before she fell she was pulled into a warm embrace from behind.

"Ying Yue," sensing the person within his arms attempting to break free Feng Yu held on tighter, "no, stop trying to run away, please".

Ying Yue stopped struggling when she realised that he was stronger than her. Damnit she really shouldn't have stopped going to the gym. Just a little run has already made her out of breath.

"Ying Yue, where have you been all these years?" Feng Yu was still embracing her with her back to his chest, so he can't see her expression.

Ying Yue furiously stomped down on his foot causing him to groan in pain before releasing her. Turning around to face him, Ying Yue pointed her finger at his face.

"You have no right to push me away and then ask me where I've been"

"I didn't think you were going to leave the damn country though"

"So you wouldn't have divorced me if you knew I was going to leave the country?" Ying Yue was pissed, her face red from anger.

"No, that's -"

"That's right, you would have divorced me either way. You divorced me. Separation. No longer connected. That's what it means. The day you threw me out, I was no longer obligated to tell you anything about me. I'll have you know, the whole damn world knows where I have been these past years. If you have just googled it you would know. You have -"

"I thought you would come back to me", Feng Yu cut in successfully silencing Ying Yue, but that was only the calm before the storm.

"Oh, so what? You thought if you just threw me away that I would suddenly come flying back to you? I'm not a boomerang. I am not a tool that you can throw away and then expect to return"

"Ying Yue, that's not what I meant" Feng Yu pleaded, holding both hands open attempting to calm her down but to no avail.

'If she loves me, she'll look for me' that's what he thought and she thought the same thing about him. However, he forgot that it was him that told her never to show up before him once more.

"Then what? What are you trying to say?" Ying Yue snapped angrily.

"I'm sorry", Feng Yu said it sincerely as he stared into her eyes.

However, Ying Yue didn't believe him, smiling self depreciatingly she shook her head. There was no way she was going to believe that she didn't do anything to cause a divorce.

"Why did you divorce me? Why hurt someone whose only intention was to love you?"
