I think what hurts the most is when you give your all to someone. Through thick and thin, you're there for them. You stick with them no matter what. 

Then one day, they just give up. They won't even fight for you. The one thing you would never have done, they did with no hesitation. 

Walking across the room to the door, she raised her foot about to walk out. However, she paused and hesitated. Without turning her around she asked the question that has been on her mind since their separation.

"No, it's just he's too ... close, touchy-feely kind. It's not that he's done anything bad or anything, I just feel like he's the kind of guy that flirts with everyone who's the opposite gender."


"What!? No way!" Ying Yue exclaimed in surprise. 


"Haha, I was just kidding." Feng Mian snickered behind her hand before her face gradually turned serious. "But you seriously aren't crushing on that guy? Not even a little? Does your heart beat fast when he's near?" 


"Of course not, I just met him today. Why are you even thinking-" suddenly Ying Yue came to a realisation, slamming her palm on the table, Ying Yue stood up in anger, "Feng Mian! Just want are you trying to do?" 


"Hey! Hey! Calm down, don't jump to conclusions." Feng Mian raised her palms up in surrender while smiling innocently, however her eyes were dancing with mischief. 


"Feng Mian! You know that man don't you?" 


"Of course I do, he's an employee of my company" 


However, Ying Yue that there was something more than this. "Tell me honestly, otherwise I'll go back to Ying" 


Instantly Feng Mian's smile dropped from her face, "I don't know his background, but it's pretty impressive. It's not any less than your ex-husbands" 


Ying Yue snorted, "we're strangers now. What happened in the past will not affect the future." 


"You can't seriously believe that nonsense. Unless you got amnesia, you can't possibly forget" 


"It doesn't matter anymore, why are you helping Liam Chi? What is your relationship with him?"


"If I didn't know better, I would think you're jealous," Feng Mian snorted as she rested her elbow on the table, "sit down first, you're causing a disturbance" 


Only then did Ying Yue realise that many people were looking at them. She quickly sat down. 


"I'm not sure about his background, however, according to my investigations he's a typical rich kid who has run away from home to experience the 'commoner's life'. Hell, Liam Chi may not even be his name"


"So he's just a rich kid on the run disguised as a poor kid who needs to take multiple part-time jobs for extra cash" 


"Actually, no that part is ....kinda true???, he's short on cash right now. According to him, in order to get him to turn up faster, his parents cut all his bank accounts" 


"Ok, then answer me this. Why are you trying to push him towards me?" Ying Yue asked as Feng Mian fell silent, hoping she would get tired and switch the question. 


"Fine, I'll gonna be honest with you," Feng Mian said when she realised that Ying Yue would wait as long as it takes for an answer. 


"Even though this isn't what you want to hear right now, I'm going to say it anyway because you're my girl." Feng Mian took a deep breath. 


"You need to let someone new into your life. He doesn't have to be a potential 'boyfriend' or a 'lover' but you need to be refreshed. Just look at how 'refreshing' Liam Chi is. He's like a cold lemon soda on a hot summer day"


The girls turned their heads to look at Liam Chi ... who just so happened to be carrying plates to another table, only to trip on a chair leg and fall over. Feng Mian winced in pain along with everyone else in the restaurant when they saw his fall. 


However, Ying Yue just rolled her eyes, "He's an idiot".
