I think what hurts the most is when you give your all to someone. Through thick and thin, you're there for them. You stick with them no matter what. 

Then one day, they just give up. They won't even fight for you. The one thing you would never have done, they did with no hesitation. 

Walking across the room to the door, she raised her foot about to walk out. However, she paused and hesitated. Without turning her around she asked the question that has been on her mind since their separation.

However, Ying Yue just rolled her eyes, "He's an idiot".


Feng Mian turned to look back at Ying Yue. "Look, Ying Yue, you just need to give someone else a shot at making you smile, making you laugh - even just texting you a 'good morning' or a 'how's your day' or a 'good night'. You need to let someone new court you for a while ... you know why?" 


Feng Mian paused as she reached out to grasp Ying Yue's hands within her, "Because little things like that are what's gonna show you that life has to go on for you too, and not just for the dude who left you behind. 


Feng Mian cut her off, " I know you're hurting, and I know this heartbreak sh*t isn't easy, but keeping yourself closed off isn't what's going to make it any better. The guy who broke your heart is out there living, thinking about himself. It's your turn now. It's your turn to live, and for f**king once, start thinking about yourself too"


"Mian, ... " Ying Yue had her head bowed down while her hands were still grasped by Feng Mian. She looked up and whispered "I'm no longer looking for short moments with a man, I just want a man who would stay with me forever no matter what" 


"And how would you know he's the right man when you won't let him have that moment with you?" 


"Then I guess it's just my destiny to stay alone for the rest of my life" Ying Yue smiled sadly. 


"Oh come on, that is absolutely bullsh*t and you know it," Feng Mian declared. 


"It doesn't matter, it's what I decided on," Ying Yue said firmly. Feng Mian was so angered that she could feel all the blood rushing to her head, almost making her faint. 


"Y- you," Feng Mian stuttered as she pointed her finger at Ying Yue, "At least give Liam Chi a chance. If not - If not I will refuse to speak to you ever again!"


"..." Ying Yue was speechless, "I honestly don't understand how my lack of love-life is any concern to you" 


"Well it is, so deal with it" Feng Mian declared so righteously that it left Ying Yue speechless. However, Feng Mian refused to back down and stared intently into her eyes, showing just how determined she was. 


"Fine, I'll stop pushing him away," Ying Yue said almost causing Feng Mian to dance with happiness. "But I won't open my heart for him. Whether he can enter depends on his ability" 


"Hmph, this great aunt's eyesight is so good. He can't possibly not enter your heart," Feng Mian smirked victoriously as if she has already been labelled the victor.


Yine Yue rolled her eyes, "I can't see how this can possibly bring you happiness" 


"How can seeing my best friend happy not make me happy?" 


"All bad things must come to an end~" Feng Mian sang out. 


Just as Ying Yue was about to reply, someone came up behind her and clamped their hand on her shoulder. 


Ying Yue was given a fright and quickly turned her head around to see who it was. 


"Liam! Can't you show up like normal people? Make some noise when you walk would ya?" she berated before placing a hand on her chest. "I almost died" she muttered.
