I think what hurts the most is when you give your all to someone. Through thick and thin, you're there for them. You stick with them no matter what. 

Then one day, they just give up. They won't even fight for you. The one thing you would never have done, they did with no hesitation. 

Walking across the room to the door, she raised her foot about to walk out. However, she paused and hesitated. Without turning her around she asked the question that has been on her mind since their separation.  

"Feng Yu, did you ever love me?"

"Liam! Can't you show up like normal people? Make some noise when you walk would ya?" she berated before placing a hand on her chest. "I almost died" she muttered.


"Girl, your ability to exaggerate hasn't decreased even after 5 years" Feng Mian muttered.


"Haha apologies," Liam Chi chuckled as he placed a dish of mango sticky rice pudding down. 


"Sorry, but we didn't order this" Ying Yue said once she saw the dish before looking at Feng Mian to seek confirmation. Feng Mian shook her head, she didn't order it too. 


"It's on the house," Liam Chi said as he winked.


"Oh, well don't mind me," Ying Yue was absolutely delighted when she heard that they were receiving free food. Ignoring both their gazes she dragged the plate before her and started to dig in.


Feng Mian rolled her eyes before turning to Liam Chi and chatting about the latest update on the company. 


Suddenly their conversation was cut short by Ying Yue's laughter. They turned to look at her only to see her patting her chest while gasping for air, her face a deep red. 


"Sh*t! She's choking. Help her!" Feng Mian was stunned and instantly got up from her seat while Liam Chi was a step faster and was already patting Ying Yue's back. 


Ying Yue continued to cough while patting her chest. "Please, please don't die in the restaurant I don't want to be fined for food poisoning" Liam Chi pleaded in attempts to lighten the mood, however, all he received was a death stare from both the girls. 


"haha," Liam Chi chuckled out hesitantly before turning around to run into the kitchen to fetch a cup of water. 


"Ying Yue, are you ok? What happened?" Feng Mian asked when she saw that Ying Yue was no longer coughing. 


Liam Chi ran back from the kitchen with a cup of water, almost spilling it and splashing it on Feng Mian when he abruptly stopped in front of their table.  


 "Hey hey, calm down. Here drink this," Liam Chi urged as he passed a cup of water to her, thrusting the cup right in front of her face. 


"Phew~" Ying Yue was relieved when her throat was no longer hurting from coughing too hard. 


"Geez, what happened? Weren't you fine moments ago?" Liam Chi asked only to receive a smack on the head by Feng Mian. 


"You think she planned to choke on her food? Why don't you ask the people here who plans ahead to choke on their food in advance," Feng Mian spoke as she gestured to the other people in the restaurant before crossing her hands over her chest and shaking her head. 


"Are you ok? Do you need to go to the hospital?" Feng Mian asked. 


Ying Yue quickly shook her head no. "I'm fine, I'm fine. I just saw something funny out the window and forgot I was eating" 


Liam Chi was rendered speechless. How can someone forget they were eating? Wouldn't she choke to death if he ever asked her to watch a comedy movie with him while eating popcorn? 


However, Feng Mian wasn't fazed at all. Compared to how Ying Yue forgot to breathe when seeing a show, this was nothing. 


"What was it that you saw was so funny?" she asked curiously. 


"...I saw a woman walk into a pole..." Ying Yue chuckled out hesitantly, fully aware that her sense of humour compared to others was really weird.
