I think what hurts the most is when you give your all to someone. Through thick and thin, you're there for them. You stick with them no matter what. 

Then one day, they just give up. They won't even fight for you. The one thing you would never have done, they did with no hesitation. 

Walking across the room to the door, she raised her foot about to walk out. However, she paused and hesitated. Without turning her around she asked the question that has been on her mind since their separation.  

"Feng Yu, did you ever love me?"

"...I saw a woman walk into a pole..." Ying Yue chuckled out hesitantly, fully aware that her sense of humour compared to others was really weird.


"... you the kind of person who laughs at other people's misfortune, aren't you?" Liam Chi asked. 


"Yup," Ying Yue nodded without hesitating, "What? Do you hate me now?" 


"Of course not," Liam Chi quickly denied, "I'm the person who causes people misfortune" he smirked as he replied. 


"oh wow, you guys are just made for each other," Feng Mian said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes. 


"Hey! Which ship are you jumping on?" One minute she's all for them getting together and the next she's not. 


"Naturally I'm on the ship that can actually stay afloat and the one that makes Yue'er happy," Feng Mian retorted. 


"I can make her happy" Liam Chi stated while turning to face Ying Yue. Earnestly looking at her eyes, he declared while grasping her hands, "I can make you happy, let me bring you happiness" 


"uh.... ok" Ying Yue replied hesitating while slowly but decisively pulling her hands out from his grasp. 


"You like misfortune right? I can cause many misfortunes around you!" Liam Chi declared excitedly, oblivious as to how the two girl's smiles fell when they head him speak. 


"Sh*t! Get lost!" Feng Mian declared as she slapped him up the back of his head. What did he mean cause misfortune around Ying Yue all the time? Is he cursing her? 


"Ow! Ow! I'm going!" Liam Chi shouted as he ran back to the kitchen with his hands over his head.


"Geez, why is that guy so dumb?" Feng Mian asked out loud to no one in particular. "Oh, but he's still great to live the rest of your life with ..." she quickly turned and said when she remembered that she was shipping him and her best friend together. 


"It's ok, no need to get worried. Since I promised, I'll give him a shot ok?" Ying Yue said as she got up and linked her arms with Feng Mian, dragging her to the cashier. 


"It's good that you understand what you need in your life" chirped Feng Mian happily as she skipped along. 


Upon reaching the cashier, Ying Yue instantly stopped Feng Mian's hand when she saw her reaching into her bag. 


"huh? I already said that I was paying. Isn't that why you agreed to eat with me in the first place? Don't you dare try to stop me otherwise I'll tie you up and make you watch as I eat your not-so-secretly stashed packet of candy in your car" Feng Mian glared threateningly at Ying Yue and the cashier, daring her to accept the party's money. Only to cause the cashier to stare wide-eyed at them in innocence.  


"Calm down tiger, there's no way I'm paying." Ying Yue said with her head lowered as she kept rummaging through her handbag. 


"Ah Ha! Bingo!" Ying Yue exclaimed excitedly as she pulled out her purse from the bottom of her bag.
