"Hello Neon Stoneheart, we've been expecting you," said the alluring voice.
Neon jumped back to the edge of the barrier, "We?"
"Yes. We. We are the Divine, and we have been waiting for your arrival, Chosen One."
"The Divine? Chosen One? What do you mean by that?" Neon was overwhelmed by the sudden news and couldn't help but question the voice.
"Indeed, We are the Divine and we control both all divine elements. Time. Life. Death. Space. Power. And you are the Chosen One, one who has already been given the ability to access a limited amount of the divine element Space."
"Space is a divine element? And I know I still have much to learn about my element, but it is only limited?"
"Yes, you only have access to about 20% of what the space element is truly capable of. And it is divine because no matter where you are, Space exists. Control of space is equal to control of whatever is in that space. Understanding that will give you infinite capabilities within your advancement in cultivation. Do you have any other questions?"
"What does Life and Death entail? Isn't that similar to the Light and Dark elements that are already known to us mortals?" Neon responded while also assuming the Divine were immortal beings.
"While Light and Dark contrast similarly to Life and Death as polar opposites, with the healing capabilities of the light element showing good intentions, and the destruction from the darkness element showing evil intentions, Life and Death are different from the Light and Dark elements because Life and Death do not have ties to good nor evil. Just as much as life is inevitable, so is death, and that is what makes them divine."
"Can you bring people back from the dead?"
"You wish to bring back your family Chosen One?"
"Yes, very much so."
"That is expected. However, though we do have the power to bring people back from the dead, an equal sacrifice must be made. Would you be willing to put someone else through the horrendous events that you had to go through five years ago? Would you be willing to end the family of another and live with that?"
"It can't just be the death of someone who is evil?"
"Those with evil intentions that are sacrificed will only bring back evil. We believe you know what that entails."
"Sadly I do… what about the Power element? Is it similar to the Power element we absorb in our bodies to purify and cultivate with?"
"It is exactly that. Except with divine power over the Power element, We can not only absorb and release power, but multiply it and divide it."
"Multiply and divide?"
"Power is endless, when does one truly stop progressing? Multiplying and dividing that power is rather simple once one understands that concept. While simple to understand, to reach that final comprehension mortals may never live long enough."
"I see, sort of, this is a lot to take in." …
"Are you not going to ask about the divine element of Time? We think that you might be quite interested in the capabilities of Time and what We the Divine can do."
Neon finally sat down in front of the orb, fully invested in the mysterious Divine he was talking to.
Taking Neon's actions into account the mystifying Divine continued it's 'lecture.'
"Time is quite self explanatory as to why it is a divine element. One can not escape time, just like one cannot escape Life and Death. With time there is life and with time there is death. And the reason as to why time would be most applicable to you, besides the space element, and why you are the Chosen One, is because We the Divine can send you back."
"Y-y-you can send me back? In time? How far? Why?" Neon fired off questions almost quicker than he could think.
"Yes We can, how far we send you back will be to a time early enough to where you can defend yourself, which leads to the why. There is an evil rising, faster than We the Divine can control, and by sending you back We'll be able to use you as a force to fight this evil. We won't tell you who or what this evil is until you are strong enough, but know they will attempt to slow you down, and kill you if they get the chance. You must remain strong. If you need more persuasion, here's this."
An smaller orb detached itself from the original orb and floated its way to in front of Neon and into the center of his forehead. Instantly Neon was overwhelmed by a feeling of peace and comfort.
"Papa!" Neon turns around instantly to the familiar voice and instantly cries.
His son was wobbling up to Neon, but not the current Neon, but himself in the past. This was a memory of his past, when Drago took his first steps, all while calling out his name. This memory left Neon with a wholesome feeling, and tears still running down his face as he got to see his little boy again, even in a memory. Suddenly the scene shifted to a starry night in front of a spacious villa.
"Neo, why aren't we married yet?" a beautiful young woman asked as she twirled her red hair in between her fingers.
"Hehe I remember this." Neon couldn't help but chuckle as recalled this night where Kay had grown more of a pair than him and beat him to asking the question.
"If I do get the chance to go back, I'll be the one to ask, no hesitation Kay."
The scene finally shifted back to Neon's original position, sitting right in front of the orb, tears still running down his face, Neon asked, "Is it true? Can I really go back? This seems too surreal."
The orb flickered once more, and responded, "Yes, there is a price, and that is that none of these memories will carry on in those who also experienced them. Only you will remember, and it is up to you to experience them again. Is this price acceptable for you?"
"Yes," Neon said with firm conviction. The consequences were only expected for Neon, and of course he will ensure without a doubt, that he'll see them again.
"Then approach the orb and take hold of it. And say goodbye to your current life, there's no going back after this."
Neon approaches the orb in two steps and without hesitation, grabbed the orb in his hands.
"Good luck, Chosen One."
