Not All The Time

First day of training.

"Increase it a little bit Feena."

"No, Hideyoshi you increased it too much."

"Hideyoshi I didn't told you to increase it."

"Hold it."

"Okay, release it now."

Eureka shook her head upon seeing the result.

"That kind of attack will not do any damage. One more time."

"No, you have to get a good grasp of how you're creating the way you release each of your abilities."

"Feena DODGE!!" Eureka exclaimed as Hideyoshi's wind ball went haywire.

"Time out, time out," sitting down, Hideyoshi exhaustedly complained.

"You should apologize to me first before you complain though," Feena retorted as she sits down herself.

"Ah yes, I am sorry. This training is much more tiring than using normal attacks," Hideyoshi apologetically said as he looked at Feena.

"But we have to get a grasp of how this works. If we fail to do this we might end up losing on the battle," Feena understood him evry well.

"But still this takes too much toll on our body, especially when we lose control of our abilities."

"That is true, and that is the first time I heard Eureka shout," Feena said as she looked at Eureka.

"Do you think I can't shout?" Eureka asks looking indifferently at them.

"With this pace, you won't be able to do it right on the day of the battle. I already told you, I'd help you on the first two days in order for you to get a grasp of how it is done, but you have to practice on your own. I can't teach you on the battlefield."

"It's very tiring," Hideyoshi, as if not hearing a thing, continued on complaining.

"You're planning to become a knight. Do you think that their training would be easy? We are not some ten year old children," Eureka spoke to him coldly, their childish antics are already getting on her nerves.

"Come on, Hideyoshi. We have no more time, Eureka is right. If we want to win this battle we need to keep practicing," Feena interrupted Hideyoshi as he was about to complain and stood up.

Seeing that he's the only one who wants to rest Hideyoshi, finally stood up.

On the second day.

"Steady. Good, now direct it to each other and release it."

After finishing late last night the three of them woke up early this morning to continue their practice. By the time the sun started setting, Feena and Hideyoshi could finally control their abilities on Eureka's directions.

"Finally getting the grasp of it," from the side Karen spoke as she, Raven and Mamoru walked towards them.

"How is it Eureka?" Raven asked upon reaching them.

"They can control it freely now. The only problem left is how they're going to release precisely the same amount on their own."

"Are you going to continue now?"

"No, we're done for the day."

"Yes, I can finally rest," Hideyoshi exclaimed as he jumped up from his sitting position, ready to run towards the dorm.

"Where are you going?" Raven asked.

"I'm going to eat and sleep?" Hideyoshi's answer became a question upon seeing his captain's face.

"Who said you can rest already? We have to practice your physical strength. So get to the Physical Training Area now," Raven said with authority.

Hideyoshi, who looks like he wants to cry, followed his captain's order and walked towards the Physical Training Area dejectedly. On the side, Karen was laughing while holding her stomach.

"Too bad Hideyoshi, while you train we would be on our beds sleeping soundly," teasing him as he looked at her with murderous intent.

"Who said you're sleeping? You guys will stay here as Eureka trains you as well. All of you are depending too much on your abilities that your physical aspects are quite lacking."

Raven said with finality as he pulled Hideyoshi, who's teasing Karen, towards the training area.

"Why? Oh, why? Why do we have to keep on training?"

Eureka rubbed the space between her brows as she feel that another headache is coming.

Third day.

"You did that on purpose didn't you?" Hideyoshi exclaimed as Feena's ability almost hit him.

"No and stop complaining," she rolled her eyes upon hearing his accusation.

It was not like she was the only one who'd end up losing control.

"We can control the release of our ability but we don't know if what we released is the same amount as what the other party released. So we have a lot of adjustments to do. First how strong is your 50%?"

She had a stern look as if she was lecturing a child.

"About this much?" Hideyoshi felt irritated by her tone but still replied.

"What's with the question mark? You have to be certain or we won't be able to finish anything!!"

Now Feena finally knows how Eureka felt for the past two days when both of them couldn't get what she's saying.

As they continue to banter. Eureka focuses on training Karen's sword.

"Your strikes are really heavy," Karen complained as she blocked another attack from Eureka.

"You have to get used to it. The attack coming from your opponent might be stronger than this," she replied before attacking again.

"If you can train properly you would be able to block their ability attack with your sword and attack them with your own ability. That way you'll have more choices during the battle."

Hearing her words that truly makes sense, Karen's determination grew stronger and she finally focused entirely on her training.

Fourth day.

"NO! HIDEYOSHI YOU'RE NOT TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY!!"

While sparring the other four suddenly heard Feena's shout.

"I am taking it seriously, if not why would I be practicing here even though I can skip it," Hideyoshi retorted finally losing his patience from all the lectures he received over the past days.

"If you really are, why do you keep on getting all these mistakes?"

"I am not the only one doing those mistakes, you're also doing it," he answered as the others finally approached them.

"What's going on here?"

"Hideyoshi won't listen to me, he keeps releasing what he wants without waiting for my signal."

"Feena keeps nagging and nagging as if she completely feels what amount I am releasing."

And with that, another round of shouting with each other started.

"Stop."

One word, that's all it takes for everyone to feel how the temperature around them suddenly dropped.

"You are no longer kids, why are you fighting like this?" Raven who stopped them, looked at both of them coldly.

"That's..." they couldn't respond.

It is indeed very childish of them to fight this way.

"I think you guys should train your swords first and so are we. Let's get back to this tonight when their heads are cooler," Eureka sighed as she suggested knowing that the atmosphere are really not good.

"Let's go," Hideyoshi followed the other two with his head hanging.

After they left, Feena squatted and sighed dejectedly.

"I don't think we can do this," she couldn't help but say.

Thinking back their personalities are quite opposite with one another.

Hideyoshi is the playful type while Feena is the serious type.

"But Feena, don't you want to win?" Karen asked squatting beside her.

"Of course I do, it's just how will I cooperate with Hideyoshi when he's too playful during the practice. He keeps getting distracted by the smallest of things."

"He can be playful but he's very serious while both of you are practicing. Maybe you think he's distracted but in reality, he was actually concentrating that he sometimes seemed like he was not listening to you."

Karen explained, pointing out what she had observed.

"And I think you, on the other hand, are too serious, you should loosen up a bit. Cause it's true if you keep on nagging at him while he's concentrating anyone would get annoyed. Honestly speaking, that is."

"You're on his side," Feena pouted hearing her friend's explanation.

"I am not. But that is what I saw between you two."

"How am I supposed to loosen up?" Feena asked in the end.

"Feena, Karen both of you stand up."

Suddenly, Eureka, who had been silent all this time, said.

"Feena try releasing another ball," Feena followed confusedly.

"A little higher."

"A little bit more. Stop."

Karen and Feena looked at each other not knowing Eureka's intention.

"Can you feel its strength?"

Concentrating for a bit, "Yes, I can"

"Can you remember it's strength?"

"Yes."

"That is your 50% percent. Now tell me did you release this same strength all throughout your practice awhile ago?"

Pondering about it, Feena answered, "No, not all the time."

"Then is it only Hideyoshi's fault you can't succeed awhile ago?"

"No, I am at fault too."

Like a child being lectured Feena bowed her head. She lectured him that he wasn't releasing enough but in reality, both of them are not releasing enough. It may not be at the same time but at different times they don't.

"Okay. So now I want you to hold Karen's hand and release this same amount," Eureka instructed.

Though puzzled they did as they were told. Just as Feena released her ability. Karen was stunned.

"That's-"
