To kill Ri, give him cancer

Ri could feel the dreadful energy that was about to be released. High-voltage electricity crackled intensely as it converged into the center, and as he narrowed his eyes in astonishment, Ri realized what this was too late.

High-voltage discharge field!

The 15-meter radius around the Mech lit up as it unleashes a field of electrocution. A voltage exceeding 200 volts was attacking Ri relentlessly. Instantly numbing his muscles, shaking his internal organs, and damaging his nerves. Intense agony was realized like never before.

Ri was attacked by electricity that would make him collapse if not for his perseverance. Which made Goran open his eyes wide in astonishment. Eventually, it was too late for him to react.

Ri's hand grabbed the red lever which Goran called everyday his lifesaver. Never did he expect that he would curse over this ejector switch so close to him. His face grimace as he watches Ri pull it up. His monitors lit up [BYE-BYE] as if too acknowledged his retreat. The back of the Mech then unfolded into a gap. And as if his cockpit was loaded into a spring, Goran was shot off into the air, only to have his cockpit convert into an impact balloon.

His cockpit dribbled away as it bounced and bounced and eventually crashed onto a boulder and came to a stop. The balloons deflated as it discharges pressurized gas, extinguishing nearby flames into thin air.

Ri was also pushed back by the pressure exerted by the ejection launch. Throwing him away from the discharge field. Saving his life as he dribbled away.

Ri struggled to his feet, staggering to stand up while forcing the numbness away. His pale face contorted in pain with his body trembling violently. He managed to stand up as he panted for dear air but coughed violently at the rotten smell of carbonized corpses and glared at the fallen cockpit ahead of him.

Ri sighed in relief that his strategy worked. He thanked his lucky stars that his enemy was easy to enrage and arrogant. If he was dealing with a more difficult opponent, then he would have no choice but to run without a chance to interrogate. That's why he laid a trap rather than to throw the grenade as usual since given the defensive capacity of the Mech, it would've realized something amiss with it and dodge automatically.

And now that Ri had driven Goran out of his Mech, it was his turn to be a menace.

He wanted answers. And he wanted them now!

Meanwhile, Goran inside the cockpit was engulfed in rage!

He never felt so angry in his entire life. Banging his fist at the walls, he cursed every word he knew as his face contorted in rage and agony.

"Dammit. Dammit! I'll tear him too pieces!" Goran was too enraged to think for himself.

He mindlessly pressed buttons and his seat unfolded and strapped him a thin metallic structure that was aligned with his limbs and spine.

Then he opened a case he grabbed under his seat and took out two thick gloves and a phaser pistol. The phaser pistol was broken somehow and was irreparable at the moment. Thus, he took and wore the gloves and hammered both his fists at each other. Releasing a powerful shockwave dispersed by its kinetic discharge.

Goran open the hatch of his cockpit and helped himself out. Snorting as he breaths and glared back at Ri glaring at him.

Goran, wearing his tactical exoskeleton and kinetic shock gloves, was brimming with killing intent that would make a person shudder. He then lifted up the cockpit which he got out with his bare hands and threw it at Ri as if it weighed a dumbbell!

Ri side-rolled to dodge the cockpit flying straight at him. If he didn't, then he would've been crushed into a meat-paste. After which, his eyes saw an angry Goran dashing towards him as he bellowed.

To engage close combat with me,

Foolish...

Ri stood up there taking a deep breath. Neither intending to attack or evade Goran. He checked his right arm holding a dagger. It was still fine after he shook of the aching, then he grips the dagger backhandedly and waited for the slow Goran to approach.

With the support of his tactical exoskeleton, Goran could lift a 500-pound engine and run as fast as a dog. With his kinetic shockgloves, his offensive strength has risen to manifolds. Giving him an edge in physical combat against Demonic creatures.

So, in front of Goran was Ri who was no different than a sitting duck. Seeing Ri convulsing violently made him sneer in disdain. Raising his fist that was brimming with power, he slammed it at Ri the instant their distance zeroed and...

...

He didn't know what had happened. He only knew what he did but not after that. And after that, his vision went spinning out of his control. His body was out of control. And so were his senses and other senses. Gradually, his body shut down, heart shut down, brain shut down, everything shut down.

He couldn't feel anything when he dribbled on the hot ground into the flames, he didn't feel anything as flames engulf and seared his flesh, he felt nothing when only a frosty cold sensation enveloped him, he felt the area suddenly darkened within a second. And only the taste of death was there to remind him.

Ah, I died...

Ri let out a sigh as he fixed his gaze on the decapitated Goran. His body lifeless fell as it tumbled violently with his head flying out and landing on the flames. He died without even realizing how.

"Cough, cough!!!"

Amidst the violent arson that turned the scene into a living hell, Ri couldn't endure breathing the polluted air any further and frantically moved.

His injuries weren't light. His bones were creaking at him, telling him they were fractured, his muscles ache intensely, telling him they were cramped, his lungs convulsed violently, telling him they couldn't bear the hot, foul air and demanded fresh air from him. His ankles were about to sprain but he nonetheless perseveres for a little longer.

Grabbing whatever he could, the exoskeleton and the kinetic shockgloves from Goran's corpse, the toolkit and med kit inside the cockpit as well as the broken phaser pistol, the data drive in the Mech's computer, and the fire extinguisher attached inside the Mech.

Then Ri frantically runs into a burned down alley faraway. Extinguishing the flames in his way, he came to a stop and started digging. He dug until he felt something metallic underneath and pulled it out from the earth.

He strapped that thing on his back and broke into a sprint. Finally, he managed to escape the conflagrant community but did not stop to rest as he ran towards a certain direction.

He ran and ran and ran into the wilderness of the outside world. Almost tumbling from his feet and exhausted out of his misery, he ran even when he was caught in daze. And at some point in time his body couldn't tolerate anymore and passed out on him. Only his tenacious will power was awake as he watches his vision fall to the ground with a thud.

[No... Not yet...]

Ri was frightened that his body gave up halfway and fell in the middle of the wilderness. Struggling to lift his hand up, he grabbed a device strapped in his back and pressed the button in the middle.

The device then lit up and discharge a barrier field covering Ri and camouflage his presence entirely. Becoming one with the surroundings almost instantly.

After that, Ri wanted get up. But his body was taken hostage by exhaustion and he fainted as the whole world turned black.

How long as it been since he last fainted like this?

He didn't remember nor tried to recall.

For all those previous lives that respawned him here eternally in this heavenly hell, his deaths were the only thing vivid in his mind.

Could only sleep when he faints, could only breathe when allowed, Ri lived his life surviving as much as he could. Neither knowing why or what made him to persevere for so long.

Survive... Is all he...
