A Class!

The little window disappeared from before Xing Yu.

"We have already imported your appearance from the government records. You may choose to alter your appearance by up to the maximum of 15%. After you have decided how you want your appearance, please press the button – ," a voice said.

In the place of the small window - a 23-inch screen appeared. On the left and the right sides of the screen - various options that were linked with character appearance were displayed. In the middle of the screen - the character itself was displayed. On the top side of the screen - a meter that showed how much was the character altered was displayed; currently, it was at zero and the meter was empty. On the bottom side of the screen - a single button - was displayed.

Xing Yu looked at the character which had black short hair, dark blue eyes, a height that was slightly above average, a healthy coloured skin, a handsome face and a somewhat fit body.

"If I had one thing I would change, then I would add a little more muscle," Xing Yu thought. He extended his finger and selected chest, arms, legs and added muscles to each area. After he was done his body could now be called a single word – fit.

He looked at the top side of the screen, .

"It seems I am not that far off from my perfect body type," he thought. Xing Yu smiled and tapped the button at the bottom side of the screen – .

"What name would you like to choose? Please say it out loud," a voice said.

"I should just use a name, I always use," he thought.

"Xertor!"

A window appeared.

Xing Yu extended his hand and tapped,

"Player Xertor please choose pain intensity you would like use."

Xing Yu narrowed his eyes. "50% is the default? I should choose the option that is the least painful but, I am rather curious as for how these choices differ from one another. Luckily there is a button for testing it," he thought.

He tapped the 30% option and then tapped,

"It was not that bad," he thought as he felt slight pain on his arm.

He then tapped the 50% option and once again tapped,

"This is more painful but it's still acceptable," he thought as the pain he felt was more intense than the last time.

Xin Yu tapped the 80% option and moved his finger towards the button, but when he extended his finger, he then realised that he had missed his finger and accidentally confirmed the 80% option.

"Pain intensity of 80% was chosen."

"Sh*t, can I change it back?" he cursed inwardly.

Immediately after his thoughts, a voice sounded, "Xing Yu you are the first player out of a hundred from the China region to have chosen the realistic pain option and so you will be given two gifts, the other 99 players that will come after you will be given one gift."

Xing Yu's somewhat relaxed and raised his eyebrow. "Oh?" he thought.

"Randomising Gift!"

"Ancient Tome Of Blood Magic!"

"Your class is locked into Blood Mage!"

"Note: Blood Magic is considered a taboo magic in the world of Lost Origins and all the individuals that are caught using it will be hunted down!"

In front of Xing Yu, a 23-inch screen appeared and on the screen class selection was displayed. "Please select your class!"

Xing Yu's eyebrow twitched. "What do you mean by hunted down? I got a hidden class but I will be hunted down if I use it?" he thought and shook his head. He looked at the screen in front of him and thought, "Well I can at least choose a class that won't get me hunted down."

There is quite a choice of classes," Xing Yu thought. He tapped on the first class and a window appeared in front of him,

Xing Yu once again pressed back. "I wonder what kind of class is and what base stats is of that class," he wondered.

Xing Yu scratched his head and thought, "If blood mage is a DPS class then I don't want to choose another DPS class. If it's Tank class, I don't want to choose another tank class."

"Can I see my class stats and role?!" he shouted out into the air.

"Please choose a class!" a voice said.

Xing Yu frowned and thought, "So I can't see it then?" He shook his head and thought, "Well since it has 'Mage' in its name then maybe it's a DPS class. In that case, I should choose either Tank class or a Healer class for my second class. Narrowing it down my choices are: Knight, Fighter, Paladin, Priest and a Bard but I never liked playing healers in any MMORPG games that I had tried in the past, so I won't choose the healer class. That leaves me with, Knight and a Fighter"

"Out of these two classes, one is hybrid class while the other one is a pure tank class. Choosing a hybrid class gives me leeway since I am not sure what kind of class is Blood Mage. The choice is obvious" he thought.
