The moment Xertor entered the five-yard range of the boar, the boar looked at the fastly approaching fighter and roared.
As the roar came to an end, Xertor pulled back his fist and released it. The fist travelled through the air and it hit the target that he was aiming for. The attack was so smooth and he felt like he was aided by something – invisible.
Xertor's pupils constricted. "Only 3 damage?" he mumbled. The boar attacked Xertor.
The attack landed and Xertor issued a loud cry of pain, shut his eyes and staggered back. "That hurt dammit!" he cursed into the air and opened his eyes and as his eyes opened, he saw that the boar was in close proximity of him and it was preparing for its second attack.
In his mind, Xertor shouted out, "Dodge!" After feeling the pain of the attack, he didn't have a wish to feel it again. The boar rushed at him and he barely managed to dodge the attack.
Xertor sighed with relief and narrowed his eyes, he didn't dare to close his eyes again. The boar roared and charged at him one more time. "How do I even use skills?" Xertor thought.
The boar charged at him again and he once again dodged. "Let's try this!"
"Light Punch!" he shouted out but nothing happened. The boar charged once more and he managed to dodge another charge attack.
"What else can I try?" He mumbled and after a moment another idea came to his mind. He narrowed his eyes and waited for the boar to rush at him. It rushed and as it was only five yards away, Xertor took a step forward and shouted out while punching, "Light Punch!"
The boar's and the youth's attacks hit one another, but once again Xertor failed in activating a skill.
Xertor took a few steps back and he felt intense pain assault him but unlike last time, he held the pain without shouting out or closing his eyes, he just clenched his teeth and mumbled, "That didn't work either!"
The boar charged at him and he frantically thought, "What else can I try?"
He dodged the boar again and again and every time only one thought went through his mind – 'What else can I try?'.
After dodging more than five charges an idea finally came to his mind. He nodded his head, looked at the boar and once it was five yards away from him, he took a single step forward, clenched his fist pulled it back and in his mind shouted out, "Light Punch!"
He felt like something was aiding his hand and the fist connected with the boar.
"I did it!" He was so excited that he wasn't able to dodge the boar's charge. He after getting hit, felt intense pain assault him and as he had not braced himself for this attack, he cried out in pain, closed his eyes and staggers back a few steps.
"I have to keep my eyes open!" He shouted in his mind, he opened his eyes and before him, the boar activated a skill.
It accelerated and in a flash arrived before him, he narrowed his eyes raised his hand and shouted in his mind, "Block!"
"I did it!" Xertor rejoiced but he didn't relax as he did so the last time and it bit him in his but. He focused and unleashed a skill at the boar,
Xertor immediately retreated a few steps back, he didn't want to let the boar get another attack and he also wanted to let his skill come off cooldown.
The boar charged, Xertor dodged and used the skill once again,
"One more attack and that should be it," Xertor thought and smirked.
The boar once again came in five-yard range, he took a step forward and shouted out in his mind. "Light Punch!"
Xertor's pupils constricted and he mumbled, "What?!"
The boar's charge connected and he was sent flying through the air and landed on his buttocks two yards away from his original location.
FA-THUD!
"Dammit I need to get up!" he thought.
But before he could get up, the boar charged up to him and attacked him as he was down.
After three attacks, he finally got up and backed away from the boar. "How much mana do I have now?" he wondered and glanced to his upper left side.
"Good, just enough for one skill," he glanced back at the boar and saw that it was already less than three yards away from him. "Dammit! He tried dodging but he still was touched by the boar.
He clenched his teeth – holding in the pain, waited for it to approach him and when it was only five yards away, he took a step forward and activated a skill.
FA-THUD! The boar fell down to the ground.
<+10 XP>
Xertor collapsed onto the ground, looked into the blue cloudless sky and burst into laughter. "I did it! I did it! I did it! He repeated the same words again and again. He closed his eyes and mumbled, "I think, I had enough excitement for one day!" As he laid on his back he extended his fist and summoned the menu but before he could log out a notification scrolled down before him.
He blankly stared and thought, "So that is the reason why that
Xertor once again called out the menu and this time selected the log out button without any interruption. Space before him warped. His eyes opened and he found himself staring at the ceiling. "I feel no pain, it's good that pain from the game doesn't carry over to real life," he laughed lightly. He removed the earpiece from his ear, grabbed his smartphone. "Its already 11 pm. I logged out at the right time."
Xing Yu closed his eyes and in no time fell asleep.
…
His eyelids wavered and his eyes slowly opened, he hazily grabbed his smartphone and squinted his eyes as he looked at the OLED display. "It's 6:30 am." He shook his head, "Too early!"
He closed his eyes and fell asleep once more.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Xing Yu's eyelids wavered and he opened his eyes once more, he looked at the sound of the knocking and at the door saw a woman. "Mom?" he softly said.
"Wake up it's already 8:45 am."
He yawned, "Five more minutes, mom!"
"I have already prepared the breakfast and unless you want to eat cold breakfast, I suggest you get up anyways I am going to work now, see you later and by the time I am back, I expect you to have chosen a university you would like to attend."
Before he could even answer, Xiao Ri walked out of the room and closed the door. Xing Yu once again yawned and rubbed his eyes. He then jumped off his bed and walked out of the room. He first rinsed his face with water and looked into a mirror, blinked his eyes and sighed before mumbling, "I really don't want to attend a university, but it seems, I have little choice here." He shook his head before washing his hands, face and brushing his teeth.
He walked into the kitchen and saw that an omelette and the tea were sitting on the table – waiting to be eaten and drunk. Xing Yu sat down at the table and ate his breakfast in just ten minutes.
After breakfast, he walked back to his room.
"My mom will only return at around 5 or 6 pm, I should first decide on the university before playing… that being said…" he thought then smirked and walked up to his bed. He put in the earpiece, lied down on the bed and said out loud, "LOO Start!" His eyelids immediately felt heavy and his eyes closed.
