Will the dog be cured? (3)

It was already twelve noon but Rui Xing still hasn't woken up. Rui Ning went to work on Saturday's because his off day was on Sunday. The Ruis' take turns to have off days. Cookie barked loudly but it didn't awaken Rui Xing so Cookie went upstairs to her room and licked her face. Rui Xing finally woke up and looked at the time.

"Oh no! I overslept! I'm going to be late!" Rui Xing said. She changed into a new outfit, brushed her teeth, washed her face, grabbed her keys, phone and Cookie in her dog bag and headed to the spare car. The Ruis' has a spare car in case if one of them is at work using the car they normally use and the other is at home, needing to go somewhere.

On the way to the location, Wen Xi called Rui Xing. "Where are you?" "I'm in the car. I'm sorry I'm going to be late. I overslept" "Sounds like you." Rui Xing hung up the phone afterwards. In 10 minutes, they arrived at the location. She apologized for being late and took Cookie out of the bag. "Is that your dog?!" Ming Ting asked enthusiastically. "Yeah. Her name is Cookie and I'm Rui Xing." She replied. Rui Xing placed Cookie onto the floor so she could wander around. From the way Ming Ting looked at Cookie walking around the café, Rui Xing could tell he was a dog lover.

"Have you guys ordered yet?" Rui Xing asked. "Not yet." Shang Ying said. "Should we order now?" Rui Xing replied while looking at the main meals section. Shang Ying signaled for the staff to come take the order. Done ordering, Rui Xing, Shang Ying and Wen Xi talked about their work. Ming Ting thought that them talking about work was boring so he sat on the floor and played with Cookie. When Cookie saw another dog, she went towards the dog's direction, leaving Ming Ting behind. The rest of them saw the reaction on Ming Ting's face and laughed.

"Cookie doesn't like you." Wen Xi teased Ming Ting. "No that's not true! Cookie caught the toy I threw in the air!" He protested. "Could you not tell that I was joking?" "You were?!" Ming Ting said surprised. "How could he not know? You know that I was joking right? Right Shang Ying and Rui Xing?" "It didn't sound like a tease but it doesn't really matter to me." Shang Ying said. "If I didn't know you from 10 years ago, then it probably wouldn't have sounded like a joke." Rui Xing replied frankly.

"See! They said it didn't sound like a joke!" Ming Ting continued to defend himself. "Come on, are you really going to continue this?" Wen Xi said. Then Rui Xing whispered into Shang Ying's ear, "They are childish....." He whispered back, "I agree." "Yes! I have to win this. You were the one who started it" Ming Ting replied back like a 5 year old kid. "Stop stop stop. Let's change the subject." Shang Ying suggested. "Okay..." all agreed except Ming Ting. "No. I need to win." "Yeah go ahead and defend yourself from anyone but us." Wen Xi said nonchalantly.

They continued talking about work related stuff while Ming Ting tried to lure Cookie back into playing with him with dog food. It was until the food arrived did they stop talking, playing and concentrated on eating. They were all starving by the time the food came. After Rui Xing finished her meal, she received a call from the Veterinarian.

"Hello? Am I speaking to Rui Xing?" "Yes, Lin Mei." She could recognized the voice on the call. "Rui Xing, Vet Lin De went to check on Hana and realized her wound has already healed. She has recovered!" "Really? That's fantastic." "She would like you to put her up for adoption. And choose an appropriate owner for her." "Will do. Do you need me to do anything else?" "Oh yes. Rui Ning would like someone to bring Hana home for the time being like a foster home. Currently no one is available to foster her. Are you able to bring her home?" "That you'll need to check with Rui Ning." "He already told me it's your decision." "Oh in that case, yes I'll come pick her up in half an hour's time?" "Sure." Lin Mei hung up the phone after she told Rui Xing all she had to tell her.

"Is Hana that dog you were talking about?" Shang Ying asked. "Yep and I'll see you guys another time." She waved goodbye to them with Cookie in her bag and drove to the Veterinarian. Whether or not she could bring Hana home depends on both Hana and Cookie. Cookie is usually great with other dogs so she should be fine with Hana around the house. Rui Xing's just unsure if Hana would be able to adjust to having another dog staying with her.
