More than friends?

Rui Xing finished her meal first, but didn't wait for the other two. She went up to the counter and gave $150. She said, "Here's for table 10." The lady at the counter returned her the change, she took it and left.

"Is Rui Xing upset with us?" Li Nang asked Shang Ying.

"I honestly have no idea... it's scary seeing her like this..."

Rui Xing wanted peace and quiet so she walked back home by herself. That was why she left first, it wasn't that she was angry with them or anything. She felt bad about leaving them behind and for lying to them. She lied about the part on not liking them more than friends. She actually likes the both of them MORE than friends. But telling them that...how was she going to explain that she likes the both of them to them? She needed to make a decision on who she truly likes. I asked for time, so let's see how much time they'll give me, she thought to herself.

-At Shang Shen's House-

Everyone was already there when Rui Ning arrived at the house. Shang Shen came over to the door along with his wife. He introduced the two to each other.

"Rui Ning, meet Xing En. Xing En meet Rui Ning."

"Hey," Rui Ning said.

"Hello! Nice to meet you," she said as she shook Rui Ning's hand.

Rui Ning shook her hand for awhile before letting go.

"Come in," She said warmly.

He walked inside the house and looked around to see if he knew anyone. Nope, no one I know. It'd be less awkward if Rui Xing were here, he thought to himself.

"Come over, let's discuss about my wedding over dinner," Shang Shen called out for the rest of the people in his house.

Rui Ning sat down on the seat next to Shang Shen as he was the only person he knew there.

Just as they were about to start dinner, someone knocked on the door. Shang Shen went over to open the door for him. It was Shang Ying.

"Sorry, I'm late," Shang Ying apologized and sat on the empty seat, which was coincidentally next to Rui Ning.

Rui Ning looked at the person next to him and he found him really familiar but he couldn't seem to remember his name.

"Eh? Hi Rui Ning, you're Rui Xing's brother right? We've met before but I don't think you remember me. I'm Shang Ying," Shang Ying spoke to Rui Ning.

"Oh hi," He said awkwardly.

"Grab a bowl and get your food," Xing En said with a smile.

Everyone lined up to get their dinner. Rui Xing sure was right, this is already boring, he thought. Rui Ning took the chop sticks and took some noodles from the big plate for everyone to take from. He went back to his seat afterwards.

Once everyone had taken their food, they started dinner and talking about the wedding. Rui Ning only took note of the important stuff like the date and time of their wedding. It would be on December 24th, Christmas Eve, 6 pm-11 pm. The other stuff, Rui Ning completely didn't bother listening. He was just dazing off, in his own world. Rui Ning wanted to sleep but he thought that it'd be rude so instead he pretended to listen.

Fortunately for him, it ended in an hour and he was free to leave the house. He waved goodbye to Shang Shen and left the house. Shang Ying chased after Rui Ning and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Rui Ning, could you tell your sister that I'm sorry she's upset with me?" Shang Ying asked.

"Sure...what did you exactly do to upset her?" Rui Ning asked, but it sounded more like he interrogated him.

"Technically it wasn't me. It was Li Nang I think. He likes your sister and he saw the two of us talking then he got jealous. He ran out of the restaurant and we chased after him. He said there was nothing for us to do to help him. And he said 'I won'. I explained to Rui Xing what he meant by 'I won'. I think she got upset with him because he expected her to like him back since he liked her. She left the restaurant after paying the bill, so I think she's upset. Either ways, help me tell her I'm sorry," he explained.

"I will... but I think it'd be better if you give her a call and tell her yourself. It's more genuine," Rui Ning told him his opinion.

"Okay, thanks for the advice," Shang Ying said as he went the other direction.

Rui Ning sat down in his car and drove back to the house. He thought about stuff on the way back. Woah my sister has 2 guys after her, I don't even have one girl after me. I wonder who she'll pick in the end. Who am I kidding, she wouldn't pick, would she? Wait, who does she like? I should ask her when I get back home.

Soon enough, he got back home. Rui Xing had her room door shut. He knocked on her door. "Rui Xing, open the door!" "URGH fine!"

The door was unlocked and Rui Ning walked inside. "Are you okay? Oh and Shang Ying told me to tell you sorry that he had upset you earlier on," Rui Ning said.

"Oh gosh, they really think I was upset with them... I wasn't upset. I just want peace and quiet..."

"Anyways, I heard two guys are after you. Who do you like? Are you going to pick between the two? Tell me tell me!"

"You sound like Wen Xi! Where's my brother!?!! Return me my brother! Come back, Rui Ning!"

"I am your brother. Now spill the tea."

"Weird. But I don't know who to pick."

"So you're going to pick?"

"Eventually, I'll have to. But, I like them both."

"As friends? Or MORE MORE THAN THAT?" Rui Ning asked curiously.

"The second one... I feel bad for lying to them, saying I don't like either of them, asking them to give me time. What should I do?" Rui Xing asked.

"Follow your heart. If he breaks your heart, tell me. He probably wouldn't survive and you may not see me after years," Rui Ning said, serious.

"Woah woah woah. You ain't going to jail and you aren't going to beat him up too!" Rui Xing shook her head.
