It it time... (9)

Clain called the training off early before sunset, the incident semi-ruined the atmosphere and it was getting late anyways. He told her that he would inform the Master that they would be off soon so that he may have her swords brought down while she took her armor off. Kavira didn't quite remember much about earlier but as she stood in the armor shed she wasn't sure where to unlock her armor to pull it apart.

"Need any help?" Nyla was at the corner of the room doing something secretive in the dark. She didn't like Kavira very much but she wasn't about to be petty. She gave Kavira a detailed description on how to detach the armor and how she wants to place it together so that it won't become a mess for the next time. "Must be tough, waking up not having any memories and being surrounded by strangers."

Kavira smiled, when she first met Nyla she was under the impression that she didn't like her very much. "It would've been harder if I didn't have people to look after me."

"Fair enough." Nyla smiled back at her but then the incident from earlier came to mind and her smile deteriorated. "You're afraid of Linx. I don't blame you. He see's something about you that no one else does that includes Clain. I may not know much about you, he on the other hand is my brother so take my word for it. He's a good guy."

With those little words of advice Nyla used the door of the shed connected to the house and disappeared.

The sun was set by the time Kavira stepped out from the armor shed. The moonlight wasn't bright but it was enough to show her that Linx was sitting on the bench at the side of the sandpit. She took Nyla's words into consideration, Linx didn't have an evil spirit, she could also see that. Kavira felt she just may have overreacted early, she tried not to make too much noise walking up to him but he turned to find her emerald eyes looking straight at him anyways.

"I wanted to apologize for scaring you." Linx stood up and met Kavira half way. "The only thing that bothers me is that I can see this white aura around the pendant just how you had around yourself when you pushed me away." Linx felt silly, he was used to being the one to come forth and throw himself, it was usually whore's that chased him for being the adopted son of Master Fei. "I know you lost your memories and you don't know much about what has happened but I let my curiosity get the best of me. I'll leave you alone. I'm sorry."

Linx couldn't help but feel stranger by his statement. He had never done anything like this before, it irked him but he did it in hopes that she would find favor with him. He had just moved past her when she called out for him. "Linx." He looked over his shoulder unable to ignore the beautiful way she spoke his name. "It isn't your fault. There was no need for you to apologize, I overreacted because I thought the pendant couldn't be touched by anyone but me. So... take back your apology. I really want to be your friend."

Linx turned his full body around, a sexy smirk crept up on his face, it was definitely mesmerizing and it caught Kavira's interest. Linx marched forward until he was once again across from her in a close distant. "I don't really have any friends but for you, I'll make an exception." Linx lifted Kavira's hand to his lips and kissed it gently. "It is time. I will show you who I truly am."

After his words were spoken, Linx drew a step back and he shifted into a cloud of mist. Kavira was amazed, she reached out her hands trying to take a hold of the cloud but her fingers just slipped through. This was definitely a different power than the one Clain has, she thought. "What are you?"

Linx took his human form once again. "I don't know. I had forgotten about this until a few days ago when I saw you and that pendant. I began to remember that I had met you before the day that the dead army arrived you came to me and told me that my luck would change after I handed you a loaf of bread. You put your hand on my head took the bread and left. It was the first day I ever beat Nyla is sparring, I later developed this ability to turn into a mist when I was angry but I didn't know how to control it so I just learned how to stay calm."

Kavira was coated in her thoughts. If she interacted with Linx that same day she saved Clain, then why isn't Clain able to touch the pendant. Something wasn't adding up. "Do you believe that I gave you these powers?"

"I don't know but I do know that I couldn't see magical aura's on certain items until after you touched me. Like those dao boardswords, I could see they were special but I also knew they were dangerous so I didn't dare touch them. The day we met five years ago, your pendant was just a normal pendant and when I saw you again it had a white aura around it."

Kavira felt like a true warrior was somehow connected to this bridge of mysteries. They stood silent together for a while before Clain walked out with a bronze box. Clain didn't like the way Linx was giving his attention to Kavira. Yes, she's beautiful. Anyone could see that but he was the one that stood by her side all this time. If there was someone who was going to protect her, it would be him. "Come Kavira. Let's go home."
