What do I know?

Clain wasn't particularly fond of having Linx come and train with him and Kavira but he was insistent, Kavira seemed rather happy to have him around so he let it go. Both the men took turns giving lessons of attack and defensive tactics as well learning to control her power when she became riddle up. Nyla took the opportunity to journey off into the the far reaches of the other side of the word in search for a better weapon.

She couldn't hide her jealousy for Kavira's treatment but she knew that this girl was special and there was a reason they were looking after her. She told her friends and family that the reason for her leaving was to go shopping in a city with an even bigger market, Attern City, but that was a lie. After she witnessed how Kavira took the two dao broadswords she felt like she let her family down, taking it upon herself to find weapons worth of being trophies.

She hoped that going far into this world and learning the most she could about weaponry would benefit her. So she disappeared, leaving the two boys to watch over the Kavira as she trained everyday harder than the last.

Three months had gone by since Kavira started training. Nyla had been gone for two months, Kavira realized that Linx was worried for his sister with his reoccurring saddened facial expression and his random day dream moments. Kavira decided to do something for him and bring some joy to him. "Clain, would you mind if I take a break tomorrow? It is family day and I would like to take Linx somewhere."

Both of the men furrowed their eyebrows. "Like a date?" Clain held a calm appearance but inside he was shocked, of all people why was she interest in such a player. He wasn't worthy of her time in such a manner so why was she trying to spend time with him.

"What is a date?" Kavira asked and Linx replied with a sly smile that crept on his face after he noticed the reaction Clain had given.

"It's when you like someone and want to take them out to get to know them better." Linx inputted his words smoothly, the last thing he wanted to do was scare her off. "Where would you like to go tomorrow?"

Kavira understood that dating wasn't what she thought it was but she played along with it. She did find Linx fascinating, maybe if she was someone else, someone normal she would have given herself the opportunity to really like someone but at this moment she was simply acting as a friend.

"It's a secret." Kavira was removing her arm armor, detaching it the way Nyla taught her. "I'll come around 1 pm." Clain hadn't opposed to having her go out on a date with Linx so she decided to follow through. Kavira walked into the amour shed after her last statement leaving the men to stand out on the sandpit alone under the dark moonlight.

"If you even think about touching her, I'll kill you." Clain wouldn't oppose Kavira but he wasn't just about to let Linx think that just because she favors him that he would take her away from him.

Linx's smile hadn't faded. "Don't worry, she's just as important to me as she is to you." Linx gave a Clain a wink before walking off into his home.

Clain was a lone soldier, he never had intimate feelings for anyone but this discomfort in him forced him to face the possibility that he himself wanted a chance to.

Clain cleared his thoughts, to him thinking or feeling such things were for children. His only role is to protect her and be by her side. He removed his leather breast plate walking off to the pails of water that were set out by the house workers for them. His abs and shoulders were much broader that Linx's body but personality always put him off the minds of women.

He was eye candy, every woman in this city knew that but they also knew that he wouldn't give anyone the time of day. He poured one pail over his head, Kavira had just finished putting her armor away when she found a half naked Clain glistening in the moonlight.

"You don't have to worry so much about me Clain. I don't plan on doing anything inappropriate with Linx, I just want to cheer him up since he's been having a tough time since Nyla's been gone. If he weren't adopted, I would say they were twins." Clain understood what she meant, those two completed each other but even then, when they fought against him they weren't ever a match.

"I am worried but I know you can take care of yourself." Clain took a drink of water before he took his leg armor off. "Let's go home."
