On the Road Again

"I can't, now go tell your Lord and leave me alone." The pixie continued onto a table but not before the dwarf stopped her once again.

"Why can't you?" The dwarf was sure she would help, being banned from the Fairy Domain was a disgrace. Didn't she want revenge?

"Because, Bort, after your wings are clipped there is no going back. Those wings are the Fairy's sign of goodness, you must have a good heart in order to enter the Fairy Domain. I wouldn't be able to find it even if we look for days, neither of you will. You must find someone with a good heart to open the door, then the rest of you may enter." Brenda knew that among these men there was no good heart. Hunters go around raiding the weak and taking what little they had, not all of them were guilt but most of them did things without care. She may not be the fairy she once was, but if Lord Yoru was trying to find a way into the Fairy Domain it wasn't for a cordial visit.

"Now leave, I told you I can't help you." Brenda turned away for the last time and continued her work.

"This is the second day, we've seen almost all the books in this library. What are we missing?" Kavira was growing impatient, not a single thing was talked about of an ancient staff or it's symbols. This was the only known library that held texts of the ancient past, from what they knew off.

"This book says that dragon's often lived in tunnels that are deep in the mountain ranges but it doesn't say where or in which direction. It also says that the only people allowed to communicate with dragon's are those who's power they acknowledge." Nyla threw her head into the book that was laying flat on the desk. "This seems like a complete waste, do they even know how many mountain ranges there are? We can't travel from one end to the other trying to find the dragon's, these places are far and it takes time."

No one was happy but if that was what they had to do then it was something Kavira was willing to do. "Let's head back to Cindy's place for now. We'll come back tomorrow after we've brainstormed a little." No one protested, it was late and their stomach's could no longer hold in the hunger.

At Cindy's house, dinner was ready and Cindy was excited to hear what they had found that day. "We didn't find anything today, except that dragon's live in tunnels in mountain ranges." Nyla was too bitter to eat everything in her plate so she played with it thinking on things she had read earlier.

"Well, I went to the High Elder today, he told me that there may be a way to find the dragons. He said the the King of Keero holds a navigation compass that guides you to the location of the Elder Dragon but only if the compass is held by someone worthy." Cindy's was all too pleased with her discovery. Sadly, she couldn't tell the High Elder about their powers so that she could receive more information on that but she tried to be patient with her studies on this matter.

"The King of Keero?" Kavira had never heard of their being a monarch in Keero, obviously Keero was a popular city, many tourist in Dark City compared the two in its beauty but the size of Keero was twice as big. "I didn't know that Keero had a King."

"They do, and he has a bad temper. I've only met him once but looking at his smug face pisses me off." Clain took a sip of his drink. "Asking King Adonis for a favor won't do, he would never help."

"I did think of this," Cindy presented her ideas on the table. "You will have to infiltrate the castle but how you do it is going to be tricky. My first idea was his sons, he has been looking to marry his sons especially the oldest if we present the girls and they like either one of the-"

Linx jumped out of his seat and Clain slammed his cup on the table. "That is absolutely out of the question, I will not allow my girlfriend to be sized up by another man."

Nyla's face turned grim. "Thanks brother, really glad you included both of us in your statement there."
