The Accord (3)

Before walking into the castle Kavira stopped, to face the rest. "I have something I need to do. I will be back before midnight."

"Let me come with you." Linx wasn't okay with letting his girlfriend go anywhere alone but he was carrying Clain's sleeping body and he couldn't just leave him to Dalton.

"There's no need. I can do this alone." Kavira was walking on her own when Nyla and Lucas followed her.

"You're not going anywhere without us. We're a team." Kavira didn't mean for them to think she was being selfish and could do everything on her own so she just agreed to them joining here. "Where we are going... If I ask you to stay, stay. If I ask you to run, run."

Lucas wasn't content with not knowing what was going on though he trusted Kavira, he wasn't sure she was thinking straight. "Where are we going?"

"To meet the person who did that to Clain. The cane told me where I could find the person, we are going there now." Kavira was still holding onto the Cane in her harness, it was meshed in with the other two dao broadswords. She couldn't take the chance of just leaving it anywhere, many people have seen it and know what it can do.

They had been walked for almost twenty minutes and they were coming up to the end of the city where the back walls were. These back streets looked dark and abandoned but very few people walked in and out of a few places.

"You two hide over there. I'm going in here." Kavira pointed to the darkest house. "If anything goes wrong you with feel it Nyla."

Lucas and Nyla were confused but they didn't argue. Kavira was soon inside the house and they just remained quiet trying to blend into the dark environment. Kavira followed the sense from the cane and entered a room with light transparent red curtains.

"So you're the reason why Lord Yoru told me to leave the palace." Prince Jacob turned to look at the door frame where Kavira stood in her armor. He was about to move and get off the bed when Kavira laughed. "Don't stop on my account."

Prince Jacob removed himself from the woman either way, she lay on the bed with dark hair and pitch black eyes. "Katia, this is Kavira, Kavira, Katia." Lord Yoru must've opened his big mouth about his plans if she was here but he saw him leave so how did she know?

"I have no intention of being here for longer than I have to. Hand me the ancient spell books and I'll be on my way." Katia laughed, who did this brat think she was to just walk in here and demand something that wasn't even hers.

Prince Jacob was in no position to use such trickery right now. His pants were down and he was too ashamed to pick them up off the floor so he stood naked and angry inside. "Give her what she is asking for Katia." He hadn't said much about Kavira to Katia, not even the fact that she had magical powers so he was afraid that she would do something stupid.

"I'm not giving her anything. Those are MY books. Why are you afraid of her? She's nothing but a pretty face. You're a prince." Katia was lying naked on the bed with her elbows holding her torso up. "Get out of here before I kill you myself."

Kavira smirked. "Is that a threat?" Katia was angered even more by the girls abnormally calm expression to her threat. "Of course it is. Now get out."

Prince Jacob tried to cover Katia's mouth but he was too late. Kavira pulled out the Golden Cane from behind her and let the fire flow right out onto her body forming a rope around her neck. "Kavira, there is no need for this."

Kavira turned to look at Prince Jacob. "Once I'm done with her I'm coming for you. You really tried to use Clain to take the compass away from me. He would rather die than ever betray me and he almost did, the only reason you're not dead is because of your father, remember that."

In Kavira's anger she decided to burn Katia's face, then called the flames back into the cane. The woman's screams were so loud even Lucas and Nyla could hear them from the dark alley where they were hiding. Kavira found three ancient books stashed inside a secret case between the walls. She took all three and turned to face Prince Jacob once again.

"Your face is safe, for now." Kavira gave off a devilish smirk and walked on out leaving the screaming woman and a scared prince.
