The Accord (2)

"He left." A small dwarf with a beard covering half of his chest stepped forward. "He is no longer here but he did leave something for you."

Bort asked Kavira to follow him, she kept her weapon on hand accompanied the Dwarf along with her group. The crowd looked at the girls group and noticed a familiar face. "Dalton... Where have you been?" Many of the same questions were being said but Dalton just remain quiet and followed Bort. They walked throughout the camp until there was no other tent but the golden one standing right before them. "You must enter alone. The rest may wait for you out here."

Kavira nodded and stepped forward but from the corner of her eye she saw Clain holding onto his head. She looked over at him, his body grew weak and he dropped to his knees. "Clain? Clain.. What's going on?" Clain was wailing in pain, every scream getting louder than the last. Some time went by and Bort asked for a doctor to come take a look at him. Clain was still screaming but the doctor did his examination on the floor and found nothing wrong.

The group just stood around looking at Clain screaming at the top of his lungs. "He shows no signs of being poisoned either." The doctor wasn't sure of what else to do so he just stood up.

"I'm not a fairy anymore.. I don't have my healing powers." Brenda was devastated, she failed her chance to be useful once again. Kavira remained calm, she saved his life once before whatever pain he was feeling, she might be able to fix it.

Kavira knelt down again and placed her hand on his forehead, she really hoped that this work. "Clain, come back to me." A white aura presented itself around her hand and transferred to his body. His screams faded and his sleeping body was the only thing left on the floor.

"What was that?" Nyla was worried about the event that just occurred to her childhood friend. "It was no ordinary headache or any poison, so what was it?"

Kavira may have helped Clain calm down but she didn't cure him. She was worried but the best thing to do now was take the cane and head back to the castle. "I don't know what happened. I'll grab the cane and we'll go."

Kavira turned to walk towards the golden tent. Once inside it was insanely dark, she lit her finger up and saw the cane next to the bed on the far right of the tent. A parchment laid out on the cane stood out to her, she picked it up and noticed it was written to her by Lord Yoru.

I write this with regret but in hopes that you were the right person for the task.

I spent years holding onto this cane but it no longer answers to me, use it's fire

to cure your friend. You are being hunted by someone who has a lot of inform-

ation on you. Your friend is being pursued by someone named, Katia, she is seeking

the Dragon Elder compass. She has no magical power herself but she does have

books with spells from ancient times. Find her, she is a master deceiver and stay

away from the royal palace. I hate that I have lost before I could even fight you,

nonetheless, I have chosen to aide you. After you are done with taking the books,

bring my men along with you to the outer rim of the north. There is something you

must know before you meet the Dragon Elder.

-Lord Yoru

Kavira grabbed the cane and it immediately lit up burning it's raging fire. Its flames were harmless, she walked out with the golden cane and all its splendor. Everyone waiting outside saw the woman holding the cane, they all moved back realizing her target was Clain. She pointed the top of the cane towards Clain's body and the fire slithered into his body in a snake like manner.

A few seconds later a black cloud formed over Clain's body, it dispersed when the fire departed his body and made its way back into the cane. "We need to take our stuff from the castle."

Kavira's calm expression scared Bort but he didn't move an inch. Dalton and Linx quickly moved to either side of Clain and picked him up. "Dwarf, what is your name?" Brenda, of course, knew Bort but she wasn't sure that her leader would have much interest in these hunters once their Lord was gone. "My name is Bort."

"Inform anyone who wishes to see their Lord again to be ready, we will leave when I am ready." Bort bowed and left along with the doctor.

Brenda wasn't too happy. "Why are we taking the hunters to Lord Yoru? Where is he?"

"We have some things to do before we leave, let's go." Kavira and the others made their way back to the castle. The sun was still out but it was early in the evening and the the night sky could already be seen by far east mountains.
