The Outer Rim (4)

Dawn circled around faster than Kavira would have liked. She spent most of her time wide awake wishing she could forget the events of last night. She had been so willing to fall into Clain's muscular arms while looking into his honey colored eyes that she almost forgot the man that she has spent so much time with.

Just before Clain and Kavira's lips were about to meet she moved away and ran back to the tent trying not to wake anyone up and especially not trying to alarm Linx. She felt like a puppet and someone was playing the puppet master trying to throw her into a dark circle but she found her place and her mind, she had to do whatever it takes to block Clain's thoughts. Luckily Clain never came back to the tent and she was able to lower her stress and anxiety.

"Morning beautiful." Linx had just woken up and saw Kavira's emerald eyes looking around. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in kissing her cheek gently. "You ready to journey north?"

Kavira nodded, normally it would be a weeks journey from here to the outer rim in the north on a riding companion but since they were leading a bunch of hunters with caravans they needed to remain as a group. "You look a little bothered. Everything okay?"

"Yeah." Kavira grinned and turned her head to gaze into Linx's deep blue eyes. He was the man that she chose to be with, he accepted her for who she was and didn't do anything but protect her. "Thank you... for everything."

Linx wasn't sure what she was referring to but he just said your welcome and cuddle in closer to her producing body heat. "I really wish we could spend more time like this." Kavira knew what Link meant. She often wondered when things would stop being confusing and actually start to make sense. She hadn't been awake for long but she was still wondering so many things about her life like why her soul was in this body. She had debated within herself if she wanted to find her dead body but she wasn't sure how Lucas would react.

"Come on. We have to head out as soon as possible, go fetch Jacko and Hip." Kavira planted a peck on Linx's lips before jumping out of bed and waking everyone up.

"She is coming. I didn't know that there would ever be anyone worthy but we have found her." Lord Yoru spoke through the flames, on the opposite end there was a man in a red mask sitting upon his thrown of aged skulls. "She will be coming to me. Remember what we agreed on."

The communicating flame disappeared and Lord Yoru was sitting on the steps inside of some old ancient ruins. He had visited this place many years ago when he was still a boy, he wasn't born with magic but he had miraculously been given the power of a Grocan that day five years ago while he was in Dark City watching the battle against the dead army.

Lord Yoru had no intention of completing such a deed for the man behind the red mask but he was angry and his mind hadn't been made up yet. "What better way for the traitor and the girl to die then in the temple from where her ancestor's are from or what better way to gain another army than to kill Kizuato."

Miles away in an underground cave. "Your Majesty, we have made every preparation to have you visit the world above. We await your orders." The harpy informed her king of his orders being completed, taking a bow she made her way out of his quarters to refuse her duties.

The man in the red mask was alone again. He conjured up a ball of magic at the palm of his hand, it conveyed a real life showing of a young lady with long dark brown hair asleep in a dungeon with chains around her wrist and ankles. "It is time."
