The Arrival (2)

16 Years Ago. The Lost Realm.

There was nothing Amira could do, she was alone and hungry. The man that stole Izak body disappeared in the blink of an eye after he informed her. "Don't let her reach the Dragon Elder... You life depends on it."

She had no money, no idea where she was and she didn't want to go around asking like a crazy person. "Excuse me miss, we are closing up the tavern. There is a lodge down the town's main road if you would like to stay some where."

A male worker appeared bashful, eager to talk to Amira, he must've thought she was beautiful. She thanked him and quickly left, this land was vastly different than Botus. It was like she had gone back in time, no technology, no modern anything.

The moon was full, bright. Amira did have a few gold shillings from her world but she wasn't sure if they would work, doesn't hurt to try. She made her way over to the lodge down the towns main street with a vacant sign in front. "Excuse me, would gold shillings be a valid form of payment?" The attendant was an old man about 65 years old. He gave off an annoyed expression and put on his glasses to see the girl better.

"We only take shells here." Amira was becoming a bit desperate, nothing was going her way. "Please sir... Is there anything I can do?"

The man wasn't convinced but he could see the determination and desperation in her eyes. "What kind of work can you do? We have a few gentlemen that request companionship nightly."

"Definitely not that." Amira reached for her neck and tried to remain calm, she wasn't sure what would happen if she was angered but it was never a pretty sight. "I can cook, clean."

The old man took off his glasses and nodded, he raised his hand and motioned Amira to follow him. She didn't want to but if anything went wrong she had her powers. "What's your name girl?"

"Amira, sir." He was leading Amira down the hall from where they were in the home. "Well Amira, you can use this room. You're in luck that we need a chef, be awake by dawn. Breakfast is served shortly after. My name is Hubert Don. You can call me Don Hubert though."

Don Hubert stopped in front of a door with the number 54. "This will be your room, have a nice sleep young lady." The man disappeared back to the front of the lodge and Amira opened the door stepping into the room.

A shabby old dumpy room with rags as drapes for the window and stained colored white sheets for the bed. Amira had nothing except her personal pouch, other than her jewelry, nothing in here would be of any value. Their trading money was different, as she expected but she was happy that the old man Don didn't ask anymore questions about her money. She needed to find a solution to get out of this mess.

She had landed in a field but she was sure that Leena wasn't near her. Izak... He was brought back to life only to be someone entirely different. Looking at his face hurt her, she thought that this whole time her aunt had asked her to bring her cousin to this land to bring peace to her but it was this entity playing tricks on her.

What she did was inexcusable, killing the man she loved because of her greed. She hated that Leena was the Fiena, she hated that Izak chose a child over her, she hated being a Minsho without having trained.

Often times she would have evil thoughts but every time this happened, her memory was hazy and by the time she came back to consciousness nothing had changed so she paid no mind to it. Amira wanted to find Leena but she knew that she would have to explain to her how they came through and she didn't have the courage to say.

"I'm sorry Leena. I'm really very sorry." Amira brought out the dark ruby ring with a crack in the middle. "If I could take it back... I wouldn't."

Amira smirked and slipped the ring back into her pouch leaving the room she was in and going out the back door of the lodge.
